Dinner for two, salmon and chicken salad.
Salmon was good enough - could have had a bit more cauliflower mash.
The chicken salad not so great: it had no observable goats cheese and it was therefore on the dry side and skimpy for $28. Still tasted good with the spices.
The hotel has a good look and feel though, so the review is focused on the food.

Friendly service upon check in. Very clean room and bathroom. Lovely bar staff. One of the best showers ever. Very nice to see an old building renovated with much of its original interiors intact upstairs and in the foyer. Considering it is a pub, it’s not very noisy.

Wow what an arrogant experience. We made a booking for dinner and we apparently interrupted their day. No one showed any interest for us being there and they preferred to clear tables instead of offering us a drink or maybe something to eat and considering that we were thinking of coming back in August and actually staying at the property, absolutely no way due to this absolutely pitiful poor experience. DO NOT come to this place, arrogant is the service experience. Do yourself a favour and go to The Royal hotel which is much more friendly, food is wonderful, the team are welcoming, and it’s just around the corner.

Always a great experience at the Commercial. The food is always cooked well and extremely delicious and tasty and they also have a comprehensive wine list of local wines. On our recent visit on the Easter Saturday evening we were very sorry to see an elderly Karen abusing the staff and other patrons with swearing and carrying on for a complaint we believe was not valid. The staff handled this so profesionally and I felt so sorry for the staff putting up with this horrid abuse. I would not have kept my cool if I had been the manager and thrown her out and called the Police, so its a real credit to the staff for keeping their cool and carrying on with excellent and effecient dinner service given the large numbers. Can't wait to come back again to experience the ever changing menu!

Oh wow, our dinners were so good at the Commerical Boutique Hotel.
During our first dining experience, we started with an entree and main meal, and we also went in for dessert: chocolate brownie and sticky date cake. Whatever The Commercial Boutique Hotel has on its menu, the food is top-notch.
Arancini balls, chicken skewers with a zesty salad
beetroot hummus salad, lamb ragout fettuccine, fish and chips.

We were in Room 1 over the weekend. The last time I visited, it was just for dinner and a drink with friends. It was too enticing after seeing inside, not to stay overnight and spoil ourselves. The trip was definitely worth it.

The staff were so friendly, and the food was incredible as always. We can definitely recommend the two, mouth-watering beef mains and the desserts, are to die for.

We were spoiled all weekend. We are looking forward to riding there next time and enjoying the fireplace. Well done to the team at the Commercial.

Great food and amenable staff. The location and ambience were wonderful. No booking but found us a table despite being quite busy. The Crispy Skin Salmon was brilliant!

Phenomenal atmosphere and great food. Beautiful beer garden, nicely lit and thoughtful touches such as the fresh flowers on the tables. Barbies Dream cocktail was very nice.
