Cocoon Skin and Beauty was a lovely, non-judgemental space to learn the skills of applying skin care and makeup. Amanda is a very experienced and patient mentor, sharing many helpful tips and tricks for menopausal aged ladies as well as all other ages. As a menopausal woman myself, Amanda was very sensitive to the needs and requirements of changing and aging skin. I learned a lot about different products and how to apply makeup to create the best possible result.

What a wonderfully relaxing experience. The setting and ambience in the room was so lovely. My facial and massage was divine, the products used made such a difference to my skin so much so I purchased some. Amanda is so lovely and makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommend.

I can highly recommend Amanda’s makeup classes, as she tailored the lesson to our mature skin, and focused on the techniques and products that will flatter and brighten our skin to give a glowing and fresh look, which doesn’t look stupid for our age. I’ve been wanting to do a makeup course for some time, but always been hesitant, as was worried I’d look silly, but this was prefect, as it was very personalised. Amanda’s lessons cover everything from choosing the right foundation to applying makeup in a way that enhances natural beauty without looking overdone. The steps were easy-to-follow, with a step-by-step booklet to remind you afterwards; a few practice sessions at home and I’m applying makeup in under 15mins for work in a way that flatters my skin. No more walking past a window/mirror wondering why did I leave home looking like that! So pleased I did the course and wish I’d done it earlier – sign up as you will not be disappointed.
