We had a great stay at the Coconut Grove Apartments. Our room was everything that we needed - king size bed, nice bathroom, stocked kitchen. Irene and Sash were fantastic and so hospitable! They were accommodating to our check our time and they let us use their fridge and microwave to eat our dinner after check out. They made our stay so lovely! We would happily stay here again.

This is my go-to place when staying in Darwin. Excellent location - very close to bus stops to get to the CBD, Fannie Bay and Casuarina. Only a short walk from the Nightcliff shopping centre which has Woolworths and a range of other good stores. The Rapid Creek, Parap, Nightcliff and Mindil beach markets are easily accessible either by bus or on foot (for Nightcliff and Rapid Creek).|The staff are excellent, the rooms spacious and well laid out. It is a home away from home and I recommend it highly. Prices are much more reasonable than staying elsewhere in Darwin.|A signature feature - the towels rolled up in the shape of a cute puppy!|Thanks for your hospitality!

So, this place is cat fishing you.
It regularly has people drinking, smashing the premises up and assaults.
Police attend regularly to remove
People,
It also has major structural safety
Issues
And the business owner
Has been reported for his unconscionable business practices
And price gouging the residents.

He regularly allows people to live here long-term but unnecessarily evicts you without warning ⚠️

Be warned there is a lot nicer places to stay in Darwin and this place is a genuine slum,
There's Dirty needles in the driveway regularly and overall poor condition of rooms and premises
I could list more but that's absolutely as genuine review as you'll get.

Our experience was less than average. After booking through booking.com we we’re informed there is an additional fee after receiving a confirmation email stating the venue had confirmed our request and no additional charges were to be made. When I had shown the manager this message she just said it isn’t from them directly. We we’re also then charged a deposit which we still have not received in return even though we cleaned the room ourselves and kept our dogs out of the carpeted bedroom. Dogs are allowed yes but only on the tiles. The only benefit was the air conditioning. The pool outside was hotter than the air.

It really depends on what room you get. I would avoid the one and two bedroom apartments as these seem to be more run down and old, I have stayed in the motel rooms and they were renovated. Couch and chairs didn’t seem clean and we didn’t sit on them. Lots of stairs unless you request a lower down room.

That being said, it’s very affordable for Darwin and the beds and linen were clean and fresh.

Apart from the room having great air conditioning, this place sucked. Expensive for what you actually get. Rooms are very average, fold out sofa is uncomfortable, the pool felt like it was a hot bath and there was an additional charge of $50 a night for having a dog, which was not mentioned when booking online. Apparently the charge is because of “extra cleaning” in the rooms from dogs, even tho it states dogs are not allowed on any of the furniture and carpet rooms, so if that’s the case, what is that extra charge for if there is no extra cleaning involved
Won’t be recommending to anyone

Hotel room was clean as well as the bathroom and toilet. Shower leaked a little bit and taps needed to be turned off very tightly, but wonderful, generous hot water that didn't go cold or run out!||The staff were friendly and helpful, the surroundings lovely and tropical and the pool was great for a swim. Would definitely consider staying there again.
