I have stayed in this area many times before in other accommodation but Cockleshell Sands is a clear winner. The apartment we stayed in was tastefully decorated with good quality furniture & fittings. The kitchen was well equipped with a very quiet dishwasher. The bathrooms were modern with arthritis friendly tap wear (Grohe) which I really appreciated. The en-suite was large with a good sized shower. The front balcony faces east with good morning sun, potted palms strategically placed for privacy & a shade umbrella. This was an excellent spot for breakfast & late afternoon drinks. The apartments are in a quiet street with under building car parking and a short walk to a large variety of cafes, restaurants & shops. There’s a full range of supermarkets & other stores within a few kilometres. ||I didn’t rate this apartment with 5 stars for a couple of reasons, one it was on the top floor & I found transferring the luggage a bit of an issue, secondly the queen bed mattress could do with replacing with something more fitting to the quality of the unit and finally the oven was filthy on this occasion. - I’m sure this has been rectified since. ||I will definitely stay here again and put up with the stairs! The pros far out way the cons.

We recently stayed for 4 nights in Apartment 7. Absolutely lovely place to stay. Very quiet street, just a very short walk from lots of cafes & shops. Perfect location for seeing the beautiful noosa area. Apartment kitchen had all utensils needed & was very clean & modern. Swimming pool was a bonus in the warm weather. Would definitly stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to this beautiful part of Australia.

You are probably familiar with those tired flats in well established resorts of QLD. What we found in this private hotel was radically better. I'm quite picky on small things which influence the impression... ||But the flat 7 just hadn't anything wrong. Nothing wrong: kitchen packed up with all the stuff you'll ever need. Wall pictures are good pictures. Furniture is new. Rooms are spacious, balconies are private. Even undercover parking spots are wider than usual. Overally - impeccable. I call it 'flat' as it has 3 rooms, 2 baths, 2 balconies.||Hosts communication was excellent. There is a wifi modem, but I didn't use it. Applies to apt 7. Compares to a new 4 star hotel, but not serviced, which I really like. These apartments are only serviced on request. We only seen 10 to 15 guests. This hotel can only hold about 30 people. Calm (except for our kids shouting in the pool).||Perhaps the first time when we seen a genuine intent to provide comfort, not just a formal appearance of comfort.||Thank you for setting a high standard for that money.

We absolutely loved our apartment. The decor was very "Noosa" all white and aqua. White leather couches, a kitchen stocked with every utensil known to man. New York type laundry with washer and dryer. Free wifi, large TV in lounge room a smaller one in the master bedroom. Good size balcony off of living area with glimpses of the river and very strategically placed potted palms to give privacy, smaller balcony off of bedroom with small washing line. Off street parking. It was all perfect. I was shocked after reading the other reviews, we must have been very lucky to get this apartment whose number I am now going to keep secret. Oh yes and there is a swimming pool and BBQ area in the complex. I am sorry to say that if I had read the other reviews before making this booking I may have had second thoughts on booking at Cockleshell Sands.

Not often is the ACTUAL place nicer than the photos, but this was. Everything was super clean and crisp. Pool was really well kept. Great location, just a stones throw from Gympie terrace shops and restaurants. Only two tiny observations, batteries in TV remote dying (had trouble changing stations and volume) All of the pillows (which seemed new and fresh), were too fat for us, felt like we were sleeping upright. Should be 4.75 stars, just shy of perfect, because of those minor issues.

Will still recommend friends to stay, lovely place!

Terrible mould! Dont stay in this apartment . Booked through Wotif. Arrived to find what looked like a lovely furnished apartment. Until the smell! The main bedroom ceiling is covered with mould. Its disgusting. Add to a shocking experience was the smoke alarm that went off several times during the night from 2am, and the one pin (not 2) hairdryer that cant be plugged in. The caretakers are lovely and the complex great but this apartment lets it all down. The owners of this apartment need to fix the mould properly as paying guests expect better!

Great central location to drive to attractions and sites. Walking distance to abundant restaurants and cafes. |Clean with ample space to stretch out and the two bathrooms are a great feature for families or people traveling with friends.

I booked my accommodation through Wotif and requested easy access due to a disability I have. When I arrived I was informed over the phone by the receptionist that my apartment was on the top floor which was three filights up from the undercover parking. I reminded her that i had requested easy access and all she could say was that it was the last apartment. I struggled with my baggage to the top floor and realised that I couldn't continue going up and down so I had to find alternative accomodation. I phoned the reception to say I wouldn't be staying in the apartment but she said that it was up to Wotif to agree to a refund. When I contacted Wotif they said it was the Owners decision not to refund me. I am very disappointed in both of them. What is the point in filling out the special request section on the website if they don't bother to let you know that your request can't be filled
