Been coming here for years off and on when we travel. The place has had an upgrade and a revamp of the menu. I had the lamb rack and my wife the lamb cutlets. It was the best meal I've ever had there. The presentation was great and the lamb rack cooked perfectly to med-rare. I had to finish my wife's cutlets as they were huge and it was excellent. Kudos to the new menu and kitchen staff.

Excellent service, friendly staff, best parmy on my whole 6 week holiday. Place was full of families, loads of kids, everyone just enjoying the atmosphere. Had driven 12 hours that day and just needed a friendly smile and a good meal. My expectations were exceeded. Just a little thing that stood out to me. The bar is long with several serving areas. I waited at one end, only a short while, and the lady behind the bar walked down to serve me! Didn't say " can you come up here please" which is common in other places. No. She served me with a smile and came to the customer.
I loved the place. A credit to the staff, the management and the town of Cowra!!

We had our Wedding reception in the CJ's room. The night went off without a hitch, the room and set up looked incredible thanks to the great staff. Our guests had a wonderful time, the food was delicious. With a big thank you to Rebekah you were amazing, ensuring everything for our big night was perfect.

This might be a popular place for the locals but as tourists we were very disappointed
The deep fried calamari were battered deep fried. So greasy I removed the batter
The vegetables looked and tasted like frozen mixed vegetables thrown in boiling water. The mash potatoes we couldn't eat. So bad. We left our veggies

Club Cowra is located in the heart of Cowra town centre, being visitors choice to stay and eat. There’s a lot of mixed reviews about this place, some good and some not so good. The club can accommodate the whole town, there’s plenty of tables and chairs. There’s a small kids section so small it’s still able to occupy themselves. There’s a pokies section, cafe and a bistro. After signing in, a lucky person had won $100 cash and another $7500 major prize draw (damm lucky!) Club Cowra is a local favourite and you will see a lot of seniors/ elderly people inside dining and drinking away.

We dined at the Cowra club bistro and I can honestly say it’s shockingly terrible. Please do not order the lamb cutlets and Thai beef salad or the lasagna (order at your own risk). Even the drinks at the bar tasted bad, there was no fizz in the Canadian club! Another thing to mention was the wait time, it’s horrendous with up-to 1 hour wait time!

For locals this might be their favourite place to eat, but for tourists I found it disappointing and should have listened to the bad reviewers.

Good food, nice club, grumpy staff, unless you’re a local they are unfriendly and can’t even be bothered looking at you. If your from out of town , give it a miss and visit smaller venues
