This cafe came recommended and the food didn't disappoint. What did disappoint was the time it took for our food to appear. It wasn't that busy when we arrived. My food (from the cabinet) came almost straight away but the other 3 in our party of 4 had to wait almost 30min, by which time I had finished my food. Our coffees were drunk and people were coming and going around us. I eventually had to ask where the food was. It arrived shortly after. There was no apology for the long wait. The bakery item range was extensive and looked delicious. My apple turnover was fresh and yummy. My toastie was tasty but nothing special. Everyone else enjoyed their food. With the range of local cafes available in the area, we might not go here again. No table water, no welcome, self serve menu and ordering.

This was so disappointing. I came here about a year and a half ago and while it was simple, it was nice. But oh my gosh today was so underwhelming.

We had two milkshakes and two burgers. Milkshakes were nice. But it took about 25 minutes for the burgers to come out, though the cafe was not busy whatsoever. And these burgers... were so cheap and bland. The hamburger didn't even have any sauce on it. I was going to ask for sauce but by this time, we just wanted to head off. The chicken schnitzel burger was quite stringy.

There was no atmosphere, no music playing and the staff just seemed like they didn't want to be there. I see the owner's response on another review that new management took over in February. It tastes like they want to go as cheap as possible. I have no urge to return and it's such a bummer.

Amazing cakes, best french toast with bacon. Daily coffee go to. The staff are exceptional, and all remember my coffee order. I've pretty much tried most things and I've never been dissapointed.

TL;DR: Slow service, average everything else. Accessibility is limited to outdoor seating, didn't check bathroom. Didn't try the cakes but they look great.

Was third in line to order, which took 15 minutes. The system crashed when my order was going but the waitstaff didn't seem surprised by that, just frustrated.

We ordered a chicken schnitzel burger with added cheese, a beef burger, a latte and a chocolate milkshake.

The milkshake came out after about 5 minutes, but the coffee didn't come out for 20 minutes. It was theb that I noticed all the people who had ordered before us still sitting at empty tables, some still waiting for coffee, all still waiting for food.

The coffee was fine, but I would come here over McDonalds, particularly due to the speed of service.

The burgers were very average. The beef patty had 0 noticeable seasoning as did the store bought chips. I don't think the prices are bad but they aren't exactly accurate considering the quality.

Won't be returning, wouldn't suggest the venue to anyone either. There are enough options nearby to avoid this place.

I didn't try any of their cakes, though they look excellent.

Came to Ciao cafe & cakes Queanbeyan for breakfast whilst in town. Lovely little cafe with a massive selection of cakes and a small range of hot pies and sausage rolls. Staff were awesome and clearly this is the local for people because they knew everyone!! Coffee was really good and pie was great! Fast, reasonably priced and in a great location. Would highly recommend!

Great food, service and coffee.
Unfortunately reviewing the toilets on a busy day. Hot water in the sink, hand soap and paper towels No toilet paper, unclean but this is most likely because they are so busy.

We recently purchased a red velvet cake for our friend’s birthday, but unfortunately, it didn’t resemble a red velvet cake in any way. The taste was far from what we expected, and there was a noticeable chemical smell coming from the cake. Overall, the cake did not meet our expectations.

They don't know how to make a red velvet. The thing they sell in the name of red velvet can be called a cake that is nowhere close to red velvet.
Avoid this shop if you are looking for red velvet.
The cheese-cake I have taken from them is ok.

Added : Your comment just explained why your red velvet is so bad. Rather than improving, you decided to go the other way. Impressive arrogant seller. Good luck with your businesses.

Added: Good to know that you indeed had a good look on my profile. You need to be an adult as well. Saying bad food a bad food is not trolling. Precast is not in food business. We make very good concrete products, you can try, if you like.

Regarding red velvet, go to Via Dolce in Bunda street, have slice of red velvet. Then you will know.
