Sandy and Laurie were charming, perfect hosts! They made us feel welcome like we were staying with old friends and the Chinnock Bed & Breakfast has the best bits of staying at a lovely country overnight stay. Breakfast was delicious, had a really good bacon and egg on toast breakfast. The place was full of Gilgandra old world charm. The place was spotless. They make their own local honey too. Would happily recommend.

Old world charm with friendly and relaxed owners. They provide a great cooked breakfast and many other treats in the price. Gilgandra is a good stopping point if going to Broken Hill

An amazing country BNB stay I can’t thank Sandy and Laurie enough for making me feel so welcomed. As soon as I arrived I had sweets waiting for me. My room was a real country feel too it with high ceilings, old style furniture and a massive ensuite bathroom. Breakfast the next day was cooked to better than perfection especially the eggs, tomato and fruit. I really enjoyed it so much. The best feed. It made my time in Gilgandra memorable. Well worth a visit.

Sandy and Laurie are very welcoming and show genuine interest in you. Little touches like home baked snacks, bed turn down with a chocolate on the pillow. Warm thick towels, very very comfortable bed which was very welcome after a long drive. Lovely history of the house and breakfast was a treat. Chinnock is a brilliant house with a great history. Would definitely stay here again

We loved our stay at Chinnock B&B Gilgandra. It was a wonderful experience. It was easy to book (we called direct). We received a very warm welcome from Sandy and Laurie and the place was amazing. In a quiet street, with off-street parking the house is full of stylish heritage charm. Our room was gorgeous - large with high ceilings and a fantastic en-suite - good, strong shower and plenty of hot water. The bed was large and really comfy. We were there in winter and the reverse cycle system kept us warm and cosy. With a fridge, hair-dryer, lots of cupboard space and spare blankets etc...and many other extras, the room had everything we could need. Sandy included many thoughtful touches, including home-made snacks and tea and coffee in the room. We enjoyed a great meal at the Royal Hotel nearby and were delighted to come 'home' to the B&B to our bed sheets turned down, ready for us to jump in and a chocolate on the pillow - you don't get that kind of special hospitality very often!||||The breakfast was delicious - full cooked breakfast with home-made preserves and jams and freshly brewed organic, fair-trade coffee. ||||There was a great family-lounge/verandah area that would be wonderful to relax in during warmer months. Also lots of information to read about the history of the house and the town. ||||We are so glad that we got to experience the wonderful friendly hospitality in this gorgeous and charming B&B. We can highly recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay there again! I wish there were more B&B experiences like it.

When we arrived, Sandy met us and was very welcoming. ||||The room we stayed in had its own en-suite which was cosy, but very well appointed. The shower was terrific after a long drive.||||Our bed was sooooo comfortable, with great pillows and linen. The room was clean and very quiet. We had a very refreshing sleep.||||Sandy and Laurie are wonderful hosts who provided a cooked breakfast for us. Sandy's homemade relish was divine!||||The BnB itself is a renovated hospital. The ceilings are extraordinarily high and feature pressed metal. All the doors and windows have lovely period fittings and beautiful detail.||||I highly recommend this BnB.

Laurie & Sandy are incredible hosts, both personable and very knowledgable about the local area. The bed is so comfortable, the shower is huge, and the towels are fluffy and luxurious! (Sandy is also the local linen merchant so you buy a set to take home). Hearty cooked breakfast is included. You really can't get any better than this.

We can only agree with all the other reviews concerning Chinnock, Laurie and Sandy. They make your stay so interesting with the sit down and chat after their great breakfast each morning. We were lucky enough to be able to spend two nights there and covered most areas of conversation including of course politics and local issues around the road conditions, breaking of the drought etc.||We would recommend Chinnock to anyone travelling through this area of NSW.
