Great location, just 1.4 kms to town centre.
This was our first time to stay at Chinchilla Showgrounds. The nightly rate was $45.00 for power/water just for the festival normally $25.00 , if you wanted a shower it was $5.00.
We stayed in our Motorhome that was self contained and had great shade from a couple of trees. New management on site and they look like they are doing a great job, very helpful following my phone conversation’s with them.

Arrived Thursday night in the rain. The wonderful caretakers put us next to the pavilion, so we were under cover. Extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks guys!

Dog friendly please keep dog on leash Older but very clean amenities, showers are nice and hot, No dryer in laundry. Grounds are good for an older small town showground. The caretakers at the moment are great lovely people who help out but don't get in your face. Really love staying here.

The Chinchilla show was entertaining. There was the usual entertainments, food, show bags, school work, cakes etc but the best part was the animals. We were so close we could almost touch them. Senior concession was a bonus.

Stayed here before in the past and they were lovely. Then got here tonight and the man running was very rude told us we weren’t allowed to camp there because we had a tent. We now have nowhere to stay with 3 young children under 5. Couldn’t believe how rude he was.

Roomy place . Can park where you like.
But check in with caretaker .
Showers are hot but takes a min to get hot
It's a huge showground.
You have the shops not far and laundry.
And McDonald. And Vinnies .and bakery.
And the watermelon sign all in one area.
This place has grown it's been over 40 .years since I have seen Chinchilla.
It's in gasket Ln there is another laundry 24 hours .not far from showground

They have dog trial rounding up sheep

A great place to stay. It is a huge flat, sunny open space close to the CBD with powered and non powered "sites". Bring a long or 2 coupled hoses for your water connection. The site manager is friendly, helpful and very efficient. Add to this the beautiful sunsets - your day is perfect.
