Well worth a visit. So easy to get off and back on to the Warrego Hwy. Probably need a good hour or more to really have a look around. A very modern and informative Fire Tower interpretive centre with some significant history and development displays. A gem of a place with some great tangible items that invoke the reflection of the past and appreciation of the present. $10 entry and railway ride for kids. Also right next door to Botanic Gardens.

Totally recommend taking the time to visit this amazing little museum, even for the locals, I was very surprised with one item on display. On one of our family get-togethers, one of my daughters had to drop her vehicle in for repairs, so we decided to have a look through the museum. In tow were my 2 and 3yr old grandbabies who also thoroughly enjoyed the time spent wandering around being amazed with all the interesting pieces on display. My daughters and I were totally surprised and had a great time, needless to say the time got away from us and the vehicle was ready before we finished our tour. It is a credit to the historical society. Allow yourself a good few hours to leisurely meander through and take it all in.
