Travelling from Cairns to the Gold Coast, booking accommodation ahead on Booking.com to make sure I knew where I was sleeping each night en route. All was well till I was informed that I had booked two hotels on the same night. ( Weary senior moment no doubt.)

They would not budge in changing the date (supposedly booked out the next night), and they point blank refused to refund in anyway the extremely high cost for a so called “budget” hotel of $145. I thought it would be palatial for that amount . But in the end I had to sleep in my car at a way side stop, while they pocketed my money. Very depressed over the situation and it ruined the rest of the trip. Childers was always a quaint beautiful town to me especially with the Chad Morgan tribute shop. But that experience has changed everything. I hope they choke on my money.

Quiet, we had room 10. Rooms 8-10 out the back very quiet and nice views over a valley. short walk to cbd

Good clean Motel, stopover enroute to Yeppoon area affording a comfortable stay. Childers is a great Stopover point as it is just over halfway from where I live in Northern NSW making for a safe distance to travel in a day. The Motel room has been renovated which is pleasing to see.

My partner, my son and myself stayed here on the 25/11/22.
Such a nice little motel. Clean on the inside with a variety of little beverages (coffee, tea, milk). Lovely aircon with a renovated bathroom. The key was easily accessible and we were able to get into our room with no issues.
They don't allow smoking in the rooms which I appreciate. Keeps the place clean.
Also it was greatly appreciated they were able to get us in at such short notice.
Definitely recommend this place and definitely would be coming back for a short day if I am ever this way again.

Went for a ride for a couple of days first stop childers the first motel I stopped at the woman wasn't very helpful I ask a out other motel's she told to find them myself. So I went back thru town seen the budget motel stopped there the staff were great the motel is a old style but the rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable let's face you just want a place to sleep.and it's a 5 Min walk into town a day well priced $115 for the night give it a try you won't be disappointed. View of the room and the surrounding area. 😎

I paid for 1 night here for my husband to stay in due to he is travelling for stroms and told him look light will be left on here is your door number and once u get there plz turn the light of due to it being so late my husband drove in so dam quite then turned the light on so he can see getting his bag out the car like normal people do as we dont have night vision and it wasn't on like I was told by the owner that light will be on for him and to turn it of then yelled at him over noise that he never made he told me it was the other people having a party he heard I do appreciate the way this owner has spoken to my husband it was rude and made him feel uncomfortable that he wanted to leave but can't till morning this behaviour is not acceptable towards anyone I will never book agin and let people know as well no one should be treated like this and get ya fax right first before u go an act like a bull dog so never agin u can keep ya hotel same on u abusive towards my husband I don't think so 🤔
