No restaurant, no bar, no bathroom light bulb, dripping tap. Thank goodness we rang to book for dinner before our arrival - had to make do with a pre-packaged salad we picked up on our way. Luckt there was a fork in it! Miles from anywhere on a gravel road - you would not want to travel anywhere in the evening for a meal. Even the 'renovations' are already sad. Camping might be ok - nice new amenities have gone in, but I would never stay in the motel rooms again. At least it was clean. It would have been nice 20 years ago.

Booked in here when Warwick ran out of room due to a busy wedding weekend. This is more of a Bush retreat rather than a resort. Our room was clean and recently renovated. Basic and simple. Good home cooked fare. Fabulous sunsets and sunrises. Renee was superb thank you.

Oh Dear - such a shame. This resort has so much potential and it is so sadly neglected by the current owners. The saving Grace of Cheerabah is it's lovely host Jess, and her cooking team. Dinner was served in an area that was so greatly designed, rustic and what you would expect for a rural resort. The food was good and the service was great. The Cabin was no more than 1/2 star. There were millipedes crawling everywhere, old rubbish left behind the rubbish bins, the toilet was blocked and every time it was flushed the water overflowed and soaked the bathroom floor where there were old tissues. There were no coverings on the window and therefore no privacy when dressing. This place needs a good health check. The bed linen was clean and thus we decided to stay the night. We only stayed one night and would not go back. We are world travellers and our room in Beijing was in better condition. There needs to be someone to rescue this resort and it could become something of international standard as it has so much to offer. Lovely views and a great description of the Australian landscape - Help NEEDED!

This place has so much potential , just needs a bit of loving. Went there for Easter and was told main camp grounds was fully booked so set up near reception so had use of cabin amenities, which were OK but needs renovations. On our drive to get some fire wood there was only 3 campers in the main camp classic stich up but was still a great weekend ?

Visited Cherrabah Resort on a whim on the Anzac Day long weekend when we found everything close by to be booked out for camping.|The lovely Jess from Cherrabah was happy to accommodate us for 2 nights on a powered site even though the booking website said Sat nite was unavailable.|There are 6 powered sites. We couldn't believe there was only another 2 lots of campers on the property.|The large unpowered area had nobody on it.|The Cherrabah Resort itself is very sad and rundown and we were disappointed to find the bar was only opened until 4pm on the Sat and Sun and the restaurant was not opened at all.|However the camping area itself has beautiful views over the lake and overlooks the mountain ranges.| Camp-fires are allowed. There are activities such as bush walking, kayaking, fishing, 4WD tracks and horse riding.|There was plenty of hotwater for showers, however if the camping area had been full, the 2 showers and 3 toilet facility would have really struggled with extra people. As it was the women's and men's toilets kept blocking up.|There are no kitchen facilities so take plenty of water.|There is no shade on the powered sites, so it would be very hot in summer.|Would we visit again...definitely but probably would take our own shower and toilet facilities.|The resort has so much potential...its a shame its in such a rundown state.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is very relaxed, a good place to sit back and unwind. The views are amazing, However, the rooms are very run down. No internet or TV whist we were there. The restaurant is really old and really needs modernizing. The resort is o k for a quick stop over.

The room was below normal standard - no bed side tables or microwave despite being advertised as being included. The blanket for the bed had satin edging which was frayed and split. This type of blanket was popular 40 years ago, When I asked for a glass of shiraz at the resort bar, it took several minutes for the bar staff to locate a bottle. The waitress took the cap off, had a sniff at the wine and proceeded to tell me that it was alright. I could only drink one mouthful and left it, to be later cleared away. I could have rejected the wine but did not want to make a scene with everyone around me.
