This café in Strathfield is an absolute aesthetic delight, with a beautifully designed interior that makes for a great dining experience. The counter service was friendly and efficient, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. However, while there were many positives, a few aspects left us wanting more.

The matcha strawberry and mango iced lattes were easily the best we’ve had in Sydney—rich in flavor and visually stunning. That said, we couldn’t help but feel that the price was a bit steep, especially considering that a large portion of the drink was just ice. It would have been great to get a little more actual liquid for what we paid.

As for the food, we tried the croast, which was an interesting dish. The flavors were decent, but the overwhelming amount of rocket didn’t quite work for us. It felt a bit out of balance, though the extra chorizo we added complemented the dish nicely.

One thing we didn’t get to try this time was the cakes, but they looked absolutely incredible. We’ll definitely be coming back to sample them. Overall, a great café with a lot of potential, but a few tweaks could make the experience even better!

We enjoyed the eggs Benedict. Salmon bagel was okay. Service could definitely be better, staff are not very helpful. We had to ask for share plates twice, and they were weirdly cagey when giving them.

Great service and nice food. The vege wrap and iced latte were both very good! Staff was quick and helpful. Good pricing for brunch food too. Would come again (wish I got to try the earl grey cake!)

Food is consistently good, especially the pasta range (highly recommend the garlic prawn) and the steak sandwich is a MUST TRY 🤤🤤🤤

I had the chef’s plate and it was very pleasant to eat. Everything on the plate were cooked very well and really liked the little flavour touches they’ve added to the each ingredient. Coffee is nice too, so have a go and try the breakfast! I give this place 4 bears

We visited this cafe today it’s super nice. We ordered garlic prawn pasta, chicken burger and oat latte. It was 10/10, loved it. Customer service just wow. Felt very comfortable and liked the vibe of cafe. Highly recommended.

As far as brunch in Strath goes, this is the place to be. I've been here many, many times and can vouch this is the one of the brunch places where you get the most bang for your buck. Decent portion sizes at a good price. The food here is tasty as well as the drinks. Iced drinks bit on the sweeter side which I like anyway. Service is always good and the owner (I'm assuming) seems to care a lot about the business as he's very friendly and I see him all the time when I'm in.
Be aware there is a 1hr limit for seating when it's busy.

I have eaten at the Chef’s Palette a few times now, and all I can say is that it is Amazing! The food is awesome, the coffee is really good, the atmosphere is relaxing, the shop quaint, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. You almost forget you are in the middle of the city.
Please do yourself a favour and stop in!
