Great coffee every time with a side of acerbic wit. The engaging kind of personality you want in your local barista.

Being from Melbourne I would say that Sydney coffee (as well as some people) can be underwhelming but the coffee at Checkpoint Charlie is exceptional...EVERY TIME! I have never been disappointed with the coffee, the incredible views inside or the outstanding human being behind the coffee machine.
10/10 would recommend

Best coffee shop in Penshurst. Been a patron for over 4 years. Awesome coffee and specifically almond latte for me (even my dietary requirements changed over the four years but CPC has remained consistently awesome). Not to mention the awesome barista!

Did anyone mention the cool atmosphere in the shop? If you have a spare few minutes it's worth just sitting and soaking in the amazing collection. Dare I say it's like a Lego/star wars toy museum. The collection has steadily increased over the years, I can't wait to see what it's like in another few years. For the young at ♥

Great coffee. It is a real gem tucked away in the heart of penshurst. Unless you frequent the area you wouldn't even know it is there.
It is the place to go for people that don't want the hustle and bustle of a large cafe who's focus is simply on coffee

I usually hate coffee and I only drink it for the caffeine but the coffee from here is the only coffee I actually enjoy for the taste 😁 sincerely, a student with a horrible sleep schedule
