Lovely room , lovely bathroom but looked onto a building which could look right into room. Hotel was not busy so think they could have given a room with a better view. Bathroom had loccitane toiletries, lovely shower . Lots of towels. Beds were comfortable. Room was very hot and couldn't open the window. The windows wouldn't open. The hotel is beautiful full of lovely antiques and fireplaces. Beautiful views. Lovely at Christmas. Breakfast was excellent, made to order but also had pastries, cereal and toast juice etc available. The bar was not always staffed had to ring a bell but still not always there. Can see it is a waste of a person having them there all the time but there needs to be a better connection. Staff were lovely. Will definitely visit again.

A beautiful building in a fabulous setting. Every member of staff was outstanding. Wonderful views over the Menai Strait. The food was excellent. The room in the lodge was very small. More wardrobe space would make it much better. There was a lack of storage.

Absolutely loved this hotel!

The building, gardens and views are all superb. It has to be one of the most interesting hotels I’ve stayed in.

The food was excellent- we had an evening meal and breakfast- both were lovely.

Our room was very comfortable- the bed was just right and the bathroom in the turret was a unique surprise.

The staff were fantastic- everyone was friendly, smiling and welcoming.

We will definitely come back in the future.

Lovely welcome and nice that we were ok to check in early.

The Lodge suits are in a separate building, for those who are uneasy on slippy paths and steps, probably is not the place for you. The view is just beautiful.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea, while we enjoyed the views.

I will mention flushing the toilet sounds like a plane going through our room, and takes minutes!

I also found without natural lighting, the beautiful room was very dull, needs brighter lighting,my partner found it difficult to do her make up.

We went for dinner, but due to the poor lighting and signage we struggled to find where we were going,it really needs better lit pathways and easier signage.

Dinner was ok, but someone tell the Chef to stop buying cress, it's so dated being dropped on every dish as a garnish,, especially when there are so many choices of garnish.

I wouldn't say though the Dinner was that great though, and the dining room is so needing something,it reminded me of fawlty towers. It's a bit lacking it's very full and a little cramped.

Staff there are excellent ? ?

Would I go back. Probably not if I am honest. Is it a bad hotel...no it just isn't that great either.

But not due to the staff!

Our go-to hotel in Wales. This 'folly' chateau oozes style and ambience with its ostentatious day rooms with stunning outlooks and quirky bedrooms, sometimes with outrageous turret shower rooms. From the excellent Dragon Rouge dining room to the gorgeous gardens leading to stunning views of Snowdonia and are Wedding Day nirvana. It's a jaw dropping place that draws us back time after time. Sometimes staffing can be a little tight, though their personnel are very efficient and friendly, and occasionally you'll find some details to the decor that could be smartened up. This adds to the character for us and recently our stays have been the best of our ten or so visits.

we stayed in Chateau Rhianfa for one night on way to Holyhead. | A stunning beautiful building full of character. Lovely staff, great room and excellent food. wonderful service from Cameron and Annest. Thank you,|car parking was our only issue as the main car park is very tight, however, there is another one available as short distance away. |we will definitely be back.

We spent three nights at the Château Rhianfa on a trip booked with Steam Dreams. We were looking forward to staying there having seen the website and heard all about the stunning views. We spoke to a number of people in our group, which as far as I am aware, all paid the same price. The staff were lovely, the food was good, however, we were so disappointed as the view from our room was the back of the bin rooms and kitchens. No beautiful stunning views for us. The name of our room was NANT and I should have been wary as the woman literally squirmed when she gave me the key. Make sure you do not stay in this room if you would like to be able to see the stunning view
