Great place for overflow the caravan parks were all full we had plenty of room power and water plus a dump point and reasonable prices $30 a night we spent 2 nights there take a bow the volunteers who book you in check you to your site and keep the joint clean and tidy.

Great place for a couple of days.. all parks were full, so we picked a shady spot and enjoyed our time at CT, must visit the lookout and the main street.. also a great Information centre.

Stayed here whilst in town. Affordable at $30 a night with power and water, great location close to town, clean n tidy, lovely caretaker (Bill) who gave us a welcome pack upon arrival so we knew how to get around town to see the sights. Highly recommend 😊

Lots of space clean bathrooms, walking distance to town. Would give a 5 but didn't like checkin process. My phone, ( telstra) didn't get good reception. They wanted it done by phone. Also bit expensive for a showground..

I went to the Charters Towers Show Grounds for the Country Music Festival. The festival was a great weekend. The show grounds are a traditional country show ground. They were easy to find, with ample parking close to the entertainment and had good facilities. Has a great country atmosphere.
