I went into the Charring Cross on Wednesday night to watch the state of the union. Unbeknownst to me, it was steak night and i love a deal so I went with the $20 rump. The rump itself was just okay but the fries combined with Emily’s customer service made up for it. The atmosphere was great and Emily went above and beyond all night to make sure everyone had everything they needed. Would definitely make this a regular spot if I was a local! Very laid back but also cozy and comfortable. Would recommend! The schnitzel and burger looked great

Still here will share more soon, staff lovely, rooms need some tlc, and just awaiting for a couple of things to be fixed, we will see. Comedy night tonight, will review that too. Looks a friendly place, beer garden, roof terrace, about 7 rooms above, good bus routes. Will see how tonight's sleep goes as its on a main crossroads, and above the pub, but well priced..

Went to the comedy night and had the best time. Amazing comedians, great food and the show was free! If nothing else get the salted caramel old fashioned. It was like there was a party in my mouth & everyone was invited. You need this taste in your life!

Stayed here one night during the vivid event. Staff are nice, service is quick and rooms are clean. You don’t get what’s advertised on the website though. Bed frame had many different screws holding it together. Tv remote didn’t work, pillows were nearly seethough. Shower stunk and hot water took about 4 minutes to start working.

The rooms were so mediocre, the only reason it isn’t two or one stars is due to there wait staff, specifically Phoebe. Phoebe showed proffesionalism the whole night and never left us waiting too long. She was on top of it from the get go and the only reason I would go back

Have been here 3 times now hoping I just got the kitchen on a bad day, but can confirm the food is consistently well below average.

A real shame as the atmosphere and location is great, and good for kids.

If you guys can put effort into making the food 5 star then this place would be a killer local joint. $100 for food and drinks for two people and toddler is just too much to ask for sub par offerings.

If this place is busy don't go for food the kitchen can't cope, the staff don't know what their doing and the manager thinks it's normal to have useless service if their busy. If it's quiet the Sunday roasts are decent but if you go late the Yorkshire puds can be alittle dry

We had a decent roast dinner here recently. It was very suitable for gluten free which was a bonus (minus the Yorkshire pudding).

The main thing it lacked though was consistency. Some of the items were excellent, but others no so much.
