First time visiting and was quite the surprise. We attended with a group booking and setting and layout was good. We found drinks and meals quite well priced. The bar staff were really friendly and helpful. Being a very long table it was good that multiple table numbers were on it and they also took a name for orders. Sadly that’s where the excellent service ended. There was a definite failure in communications with the servers, or cooks to the servers. Servers were walking around and around with meals not knowing who ordered them. Even though a table number provided and a name, there clearly were not given that info, or worse sum they did but paid absolutely no attention to it. Either way it constantly interrupted the celebrations. Made for yelling across the tables to assist them and wrong meals being handed out. The place is very nice and food was lovely but sadly a very large failure. Sadly other reviewers have also commented on service. Definitely a failure on process or training.

The food and overall vibe was good. We ordered just before dinner. But the service was honestly a bit dissapointing we got served quickly for a table but staff were just talking to each other in the bar and just talking and also while people are waiting to order at the bar you have one person putting them through while the others talk and you leave customers waiting. Honestly dissapointing. The kitchen staff were working hard though carrying dishes to what seemed like a function with no help from the staff who weren't doing anything. Good food but service was bad watching, should have jobs for staff to do while a bit quiet I wouldn't say talking about what your doing on the weekend is a working task. 😕

I booked a table of 12 because two of my children had birthdays. There were also two other bookings roughly our size there also.

We won’t be back, there were a number of items not available on the menu, no steak, no barramundi, no wings and no skewers, it took one person four attempts to order before they chose something that was available.

The Asian veggies were not Asian they were frozen veggies and you could tell they were frozen by looking at them.

I had two cakes in two bags with the candles for the cake in the correct bag with the cake. They lost the cakes and then messed up the candles. One was for a 21st. Logic would state the candles in the bag with the cake are for the cake it was in the bag with.

My friend was given a glass with lipstick on it and when we mentioned this she was given another glass with lipstick on it after being told this never happens. Well. It does happen and happened twice in one sitting.

My mojito firstly no garnish, then a sad droopy piece of mint for the garnish next time, then a lime garnish, then no garnish and the last mojito had packaged chopped mint that looked like chives floating in my glass.

Our table wasn’t getting cleared, we ended up stacking glasses etc so we had room.

The wands on the coffee machine in gaming have not been cleaned after each use and has a build up of milk on them.

Staff were not interested and it looked like we turned up on a day where nobody knew what was going on and they didn’t want to be there.

Love the Centen. Had a great experience there with some mates. I highly recommend going and checking it out. The food and service is wonderful, bar staff are friendly and car park is a massive bonus. Beautiful venue with big areas inside and out.

We love coming here. It's been renovated recently and the atmosphere and vibe are amazing compared to what it used to be! Great food. Bar staff could be quicker to react to a customer waiting at the bar

I had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic steak lunch at Centenary Tavern today, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

First off, the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that our meal was perfect. The menu offered a great variety of options, but I decided to go with the steak, and boy am I glad I did.

The steak was cooked to perfection - juicy, flavourful, and tender. It was served with a generous helping of sides, including crispy fries and a fresh garden salad. Every bite was a delight, and I found myself savouring every last bite.

Overall, I would highly recommend Centenary Tavern to anyone looking for a delicious steak lunch. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Thanks for an unforgettable meal!

The food was incredible. We had a group of 5, and no one had any complaints about the food (for a change).

The only problem I had with the place was the staff. The girl added a 15% tip without my permission to the order over the counter, as the app wasn't working properly. It wasn't a problem at the time, as I wanted to add a tip anyway. But in hindsight, if they did it to me, they're probably stealing other people's money without them knowing. Still... food was amazing.

Lunch today at this great tavern. The place was very quiet. Staff were very helpful with our small group of seniors. Plenty of selection on the seniors menu.. everyone very happy with their choices. Didn't have to wait to long until the meals arrived. They were presented well and served hot 🔥. Well done.. we'll be back.
