Where’s your favorite café in Ipswich? If you’re out and about shopping for homewares 🛋️ or grabbing a bargain at one of the fantastic stores at Home HQ West Ipswich, make sure to stop by Casual Coffee for lunch! Tiff and I loved the relaxed vibe, the delicious milkshakes 🥤, and the yummy meals 🍔. It’s the perfect spot to recharge while enjoying a day of shopping. Highly recommend! ☕✨

While the food was good, I had a bit of an unfortunate experience here. I ordered an iced chocolate with my lunch. It took a while to come out, which was fine. It was somewhat busy. But when it was brought out, it was an iced latte. A little frustrating, but an honest mistake. But when it was brought out to me, the server spilled the iced latte on my dress. Gave a quick and insincere apology, mostly for the wrong drink, and said she would be right back with my iced chocolate. I was about 3/4 finished with my meal before I went inside to ask where my iced chocolate was, only for the server behind the counter too look absolutely flabbergasted by question. No drinks were currently being made, there wasn’t a huge line, but somehow my drink wasn’t even being made or thought about being made.
In the end, I was almost finished my meal by the time they brought out an incredibly flavourless iced chocolate. No apology for the wait, nothing. Not overly impressed.

When I approached staff about having a kids size wrap, I was told I would have to pay more ($3) to have a kids size meal as an adult.
I have had bariatric surgery and can not eat full meals, and food and money is wasted if I order a regular size one.
I explained that I was bariatric, and the excuse was that they don’t make enough money selling kids size meals.
I haven’t had any other venue try to charge me more for a kids meal!!!!

Edit- in response to the below excuse, I have NEVER been told no when I explained I can’t eat more than a cup or so of food. Your response is crap. Even pubs are happy to give me kids size meals and don’t up the charges. Your post is BS.
And I HAVE been there before, and the service and food was below par. You never bought me the right order when I was there last time 6 months ago. I specifically asked for no tomato on a toasted sandwich and it came out with tomato. Your staff then argued that I said I wanted tomato. Then your staff just picked it off and bought it back to me. All round poo experience at your joint.

Value for money this cafe is the business. I had a great breakfast and coffee, very nice. Service was good, waitresses were very pleasant. The atmosphere of the cafe is what I'd expect from a cafe, busy and busseling. Overall a good experience.

Ordered the chicken parmy for a late lunch. It was delicious especially the sweet potato fries. Good pricing and big portion. Left with a smile on my face as I really enjoyed my meal 😊
