Thursday vegan set 3 course $45 per person 🥰

Casa Nova honeysuckle have a vegan 3 course menu option on Thursdays and it is wonderful.

With notice this menu is available for bookings over 10 people.

The restaurant was busy with a great ambiance at 7 30 with the harbour side patio almost full at this time.

Entrée/ antipasti:
I chose the zucchini and pea soup with caramelized leek.
It was thick and creamy, delicious with a small piece of bread served in the soup.
I would have preferred some more on the side, and my piece was quite soggy.
Yummy still.

Seccondi:
I chose the vegan meatballs in a rich slow cooked Italian tomato sauce.
These were a slight let down in that they fell apart completely and this made the 3 meat balls seem like they weren't there. They seemed to be made of a curry polenta, split peas of some description?
The flavors however were delicious and as a Bolognese it was a fabulous meal. Infact the deconstruction of the meat balls actually worked in this way.

Dolci:
Tiramisu.
Was served elegantly in a small Manhattan glass. It was exactly what you would expect from a tiramisu.
Delicious and non dairy so it was easy in the tummy.

For $45 this is an incredible value for money vegan experience in Newcastle.

I highly recommend the vegan Thursday special at casa nova Italian restaurant honeysuckle Newcastle.

In fact this would be a great option for vegans regardless of the day.

A lady, "Sapana" who seemed to be a floor manager checked on my experience and gave me the courtesy of ensuring my experience was a good as it could be.

I appreciated that she asked of ways that they could improve.

Ash and Sap absolutely made my day, had the best experience for my 19th birthday lunch with my parents. They were so lovely, engaging and accommodating. They also gave me some great, thoughtful recommendations. The whole establishment is beautiful, the food is brilliant.

Great views, great food and great service. The Nutella dessert was the best dessert I have had in a long time. The oysters were delicious and just had a great time. Their mocktails are also amazing - highly recommend the apple mojito with the lychee. Will definitely be back ☺️

We ate here on our 1 night in Newcastle and could have chosen better.
The main courses were fairly typical tourist fare and nothing special. We considered a dessert and more drinks, however, after delivering the menus, the staff were more interested in clearing tables than in taking an order, so we adjourned to our hotel bar.

This was out 3rd family experience! Food anazing , service impeccable, atmosphere on the harbour with fantastic weather we wouldn't go anywhere else and prices on par with most restaurants ! My only thing would be to offer a couple of more selections on Rose wine as a couple of us ladies are particular. However we had a wonderful Easter celebration as we did at Christmas and a couple of cocktails drank were fantastic . Thanks we will be back very soon and highly recommend. Ribs were a winner.

Everything was nice, however we asked for someone to call us a taxi back to motel and we were told to go to taxi rank outside. There was no cab rank and no cabs. We were unfamiliar with the area and had to walk back to the Novotel which was very hard for 2 women nearly 70 years old. Very disappointing.
The food was nice, we had the veal but would have liked more vegetables. The bruschetta was only tomato with seasoning, a little disappointing. Other than not calling us a taxi the staff were very nice.

The dining experience is really great! Yesterday was my birthday and I had an unforgettable night in this restaurant. Chanel and Emma were very considerate. They changed the cutlery, removed the plate and served the food for us in time. We'll be back next time!

We had a large family lunch here on Easter Saturday and it was wonderful. The food was so good, we were a large group and ordered off the regular menu which I was nervous about because I wasn't sure if it would be to much for the kitchen to handle but it all came out together and was absolutely delicious. The staff were so helpful and accommodating and the service was perfect. We had quite a few cocktails and they were all yummy as well. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will be back. Thankyou Krishna and team for such a wonderful venue for our lunch!
