I visited Carriageworks today for The Big Design Market, and it was an amazing experience! The venue was filled with a wide variety of unique and creative products, perfect for design lovers. There was also a great selection of food stalls and a cozy coffee place to relax and recharge. One thing that stood out was how convenient it was—lots of free parking available, making it hassle-free to get in and out. Highly recommend checking out events here if you’re in the area!

It's a really good convention space. Close to transport and accessible for wheelchairs. However, getting in and around the convention space can get cramped very quickly and the echo is terrible when it comes to noise. Also, avoid events that occur during the summer, with no air-conditioning, it gets hot, and I mean, really hot.

Great event space for music and dance. Huge open spaces that can be fitted out how we needed. Carriageworks is a heritage building with a railroad history and the history is reflected in much of the space.
Parking is limited however there is time parking on site

When the stuff is on, this old industrial site is boss: big, bold, cavernous. The festival of dangerous ideas is a warm, tender and frightening place where you encounter a huge swathe of ideas, concepts and dialogue.
Worth a visit for a reframe.
It also features an excellent bookstore, with works by visiting speakers and other stuff from Gleebooks.

I came here for The Big Design Market held on 13-15, October with over 200 designers and makers displaying and selling their unique products ranging from ceramics, jewellry, art prints, clothing to cocktails, local wines, baked goods to Japanese inspired salads. There are many food and drink stalls to choose from for your snack. Toilets are accessible on site. Great art and culture exploring and shopping experience!
