We had four nights booked at the Wilderness Lodge but had to leave after two because of a medical emergency. By and large we were happy with our 'glamping cabin', which more than met our needs and had a wide veranda from which we could watch the wildlife, including kangaroos and pretty-faced wallabies on one occasion. The camp kitchen was quite well stocked though could have done with a wok. (People we met in the National Park were staying in one of the other camp sites outside the park said their camp kitchen was equipped with a wok.) There were signs about the camp kitchen warning about cleaning up food scraps because of voracious wildlife - including rats. However, there were no warning signs about rats in the rooms ... and maybe there be. We heard the rat or rats the first night (thinking perhaps it was a possum on the roof), and saw one inside the room on our second night. We are used to living in old houses and being in the bush so aren't totally rattled by rats. But I imagine other guests may have been more alarmed. Did report to the receptionist next morning as we checked out, he didn't look overly concerned and said he would report. This is an expensive place to stay, so I would have thought keeping vermin out of the rooms is something of a priority here.|One other thing, we ate at the restaurant on one evening, for roast night (Tuesday). It was quite expensive and underwhelming - and the poor staff looked overwhelmed. We found eating in the camp kitchen, including chatting with other guests, a much more satisfying experience.

Excellent place and we stayed in the tents which were very comfortable. Amenities and restaurant were clean and well maintained. Lots of wild life about and sunset and sunup were wonderful times to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Great personal service from the Alison who was happy to run through with us all the walks and give some local tips. This is very useful as the National Park office is not manned most of the time. Restaurant was great with very reasonable prices for food and alcohol. Less than Sydney!! Cabins have a good layout and heating was very good. The 1 degree over night was not a problem.

Just stayed here with my wife and two kids. Very friendly staff. It was a great place to get back to after a long day walk. The decks and squatters chairs on each cabin were great. We did all our own lunches some breakfasts and 2/4 dinners. There was ample fridge space( each cabin has one) with overflow if needed. The camp kitchens were well decked out for communal cooking, and were clean. Really enjoyed hand made croissants and decent coffee from a proper machine at breakfast time.

I think this business is doing really well, providing hospitality in such a remote location.

Thank you for providing a spot to charge our electric car.

Really loved our three night stay. The cabins are a short drive to the visitor centre and start of the main walk into the gorge. Well maintained property with friendly service, the cabins are well spaced out and the camp kitchens had everything we needed although we also ate in the on site restaurant. We liked the fact that you couldn’t drive into the camping area, it made for a peaceful setting. |Really beautiful part of the world and staying here helped to make our trip one to remember. We would highly recommend staying here

Fabulous. Loved the morning takeaway coffee and freshly baked French pastries. Disappointed no coffee after 10 am so had to drive to Caravan Park for afternoon coffee. Tents great. Appreciated white fluffy towels. All service great but the restaurant menu too limited. For us too cold to self cater outside. Could add to experience by more healthy food options and a nice roaring fire to sit beside somewhere. Also would be worthwhile having coffee machine operational until at least 4 pm

The lodge is in a great location just 3 km from the National Park Visitor Centre. Our twin safari cabin (Queen bed and single bed) was very comfortable and spacious. The camp kitchen was well maintained, clean and well equipped, although we found the BBQs underpowered and only some of the gas burners worked. We enoyed watching and hearing the wildlife from our cabin!
