Highly recommend! Had travelled to Cairns for xmas, after 2 weeks of sleepless nights at home, dealing with illness. I received a massage from Kaz at Raintrees who wonderfully read my body and met every one of its desperate needs. She worked very hard, as my body was far too tense, and she did not give up! I walked out as though on clouds! THANK YOU KAZ for your therapy, it saw me through xmas and now heading back home.

I am & my partner are local. We enjoy to massage this place once a week. I have to stand up long hours at my work, massage here really help my legs. Dominic is my massager, he is very good for strong massage. The other staffs are nice too. Highly recommended when you are in Cairns at night market. 🤓😁

I usually really love the massages here. Today there was a young European man who was either in a terible mood or just didn't care about what he was doing which resulted in a very unpleasant 45 minutes. He was constantly opening the curtain, (maybe to check the time?) and while the pressure was okay the technique was AWFUL. The first part of the massage consisted of him only being able to locate my spine and not the muscles either side which was quite painful, and for the neck portion I can only describe as being grabbed by the back of the neck, like a teacher from the eighties marching an errant student to the principal's office. The shoulder massage was more like a Vulcan nerve pinch and he dug his fingers into some odd spots, usually only finding bone or nerves, completely missing the muscles that needed working on, he didn't ask me ANY questions about injuries or exsisting pain, and he completely omitted the head portion of the service which is what I was looking forward to most - though by the end I was mostly just happy to get out of there. His "technique" often resulted in me jumping or flinching, and he gave not a single damn. There was also a highly obnoxious customer from Melbourne who thought that a place where everyone around him was trying to relax was the right moment to carry on a loud conversation with the staff asking the team member all sorts of questions about study and his point of origin while the poor fellow was trying to be polite and quiet and just do his job. I'm pretty sure the foodcourt now knows all about Yokohama in December and the very important man from Melbourne's take on work ethics. 🙄
Unsure if I will return which is a shame as this had been my regular place for a usually excellent massage at a great price. Today was not the day.

Had a massage at the night market while in cairns on holiday, relieved my back and hip pain, I felt so light after all the tension in my back was gone. I had to squeeze in one more in the morning before we flew out! Great value for money at both night markets and the shopping centre.

My Aunt introduced Carley's Cinese Massage to me the last time I visited a year ago. I was extremely impressed by their quality and value.

RECENT VISIT
My friend suggested we have a massage for 45 minutes. With last year's experience being so positive, I was eager to agree.

The staff were very polite.
The wait was not long, but can be longer depending in staff. Many of their staff returned home due to Covid.

EXCELLENT
We had the well sort after "Hero" and a young man from Tokyo. They both did a 45 minute treatment. Feet, legs, arms, shoulders and back for $45.00 ($1 a minute)

RESULTS
My calves were tight from km's of walking each day, my back ached due to a hard mattress at my accommodation. The massage reduced the tight muscles and soreness of my back.

Carley's Chinese Massage at the night markets is a bit of a Cairns institution, it's been operating forever! The price has gone up with inflation to $20 for a 40 min full body massage, but still a bargain. It's wroth noting a lot of the employees are backpackers, not professional masseuses. That said, I've never had a bad massage in the countless times I've been here. There's also very little upselling to snake oil and hot stones nowadays so feel safe. Highly recommended.

Had a foot and leg ( reflexology) massage in shopping centre. No good. No relief. Waste of money. Please don’t say it’s a reflexology session when it isn’t.

My massage therapist looked at me with dead eyes and I think he was trying to tell me something about their working conditions without using words. These people are worked like they are in a sweat shop on a production line. It’s been 48 hours and I’m still worried about their welfare and so are my kids who were also massaged. Workers: there is people you can report this kind of stuff to. You don’t have to work there. We have plenty of jobs for you in Australia where you won’t be worked like this.
