1972 it was a pleasure to be a part of building the Cardwell Country Club (Golf and Bowls) with Buddy Dingwall and s lot of others. Frank Reily, Jack Bishop, Rod Tennant, Bob abd Nira Warnock just to name a few. Captain of the Golf Club and then Vice President of the club. Our recent visit I'm October 2024, left me dissapointed. The only great part of our visit was locating the time canister buried in 1988. This one to be opened in 2038. Hope to be part of the opening.

Absolutely awesome club!
Friendly staff and friendly locals.
A 5 star restaurant that books out due to the fabulous menu plus an option for an easy grill dinner on the deck if you're just wanting a top notch burger, pizza or pasta all with great prices that you just don't see anymore for top quality local produce.
A lovely golf course and welcoming social bowls, raffles and even some kareoke.
Highly recommend this club if you're visiting beautiful Cardwell.

A delightful 9 hole course, wide and open fairways, and quite good greens. Each hole has a different tee block, so 18 holes can be completed. $30 for 18, $20 for 9. Clubs, buggies free to use, carts can be hired.

My partner (Mrs) and I had a nice meal at the bistro and dessert, the staff very friendly and bubbly , reasonable priced(Barramundi, also sticky chicken drumettes & salad & rice,

Friday's are the a good day to book golf cart hire and play nine holes for only $35 . 2 to 3 hours play with drinks on course bought from country club that serve meals drinks . Gaming room and restaurant open till late. Live entertainment on regularly.

Nice club.
Went for drinks with a Cardwell local on Sunday afternoon. Took our little dog with us, they said it was dog friendly. Lovely afternoon.
Then decided to go back for tea on Friday nite. Before we got inside they told us we weren't allowed in with a dog!!
WHAT!!!
Rules seem to change day by day!
They lost our money, went to the Beachcomers and had a beautiful meal andsuper friendly staff.
