Can't go past Beachcomber in Cardwell for a nice night out! The fairy lights and oceanfront view make for excellent ambience, the waiter was friendly and attentive and the food came out quick, but best of all the food was really top-notch. The chef must take pride in their work because everything was cooked really well, tender and tasty.

Personally I'd prefer flat plates for the barramundi and prawns but this is just a minor note.

The diver-caught scallops with salsa verde were so good I've been thinking about them all week!

This is Cardwell’s best kept secret on the waterfront with uninterrupted views of the ocean! Such a beautiful location and friendly staff to enjoy lunch and dinner. The decor is modern and it was very relaxing to enjoy a refreshment. Pizza menu and cocktail menu looks epic! Will call in again on my way through town.

Drinks were cold but had to go get them. Food was buck above average but had to chase it up 1.5hrs after ordering to tell us we had to defrost chicken. Kids meal took not long after 1.5hrs to come. Was offered a round of drinks to compensate when I was only ordering 1 drink. Tried getting some of the other drinks or food discounted and was denied. Wouldn't recommend. Especially for a special occasion.

The food was amazing! I had the reef pizza it was extraordinary! Ingredients were fresh and the dough was handmade not premade pizza dough. The sticky date cake was tasty as well. Staffs were all very friendly and helpful. Chips were golden and crispy! 4 stars as it is a bit pricy.

Unfortunately very very disappointing feed tonight at Beachcombers, daughter got a kids fish and chips, literally got 6 chips.. I had steak and veg with mash, the only veg was hard cauliflower undercooked.. husband had a pizza that came out of 20 minutes after we had eaten.. which was very very average for a pizza with no flavour..
this is very disappointing because we were here a year ago and everything was second to none, so amazing! Tonight was very much average. Has so much potential though so I hope they do get better..

Wow what an unexpected surprise!
We had booked and there was a big 80th on at the same time.
How they managed to balance the party and the bookings at once is amazing.

We are staying at the park here and thought we would pop over or a bite.

The service was amazing, the wines and cocktails were fab and the food was actually incredible. First time on a long time we’ve had seafood on this coastline that was actually done well.

Well done to the team, you are doing an amazing job

Highly recommend (and the accommodation and caravan park out the back is so lovely)

Went to get takeaway since staying in the park cabin and wished I ordered more as soon as we were back as just got the barramundi with the garlic prawns and it was so good that my toddlers ate the majority. It’s a shame it’s closed tomorrow but will definitely stop in just to eat here on way back down!

The service was good with a special mention for Diandrah who looked after us very well.
The meals were also superb and my guests who ate the barramundi gave it a ten rating ; mr partner and I shared a lovely thai salad and a vegetarian pizza , both were very tasty and well presented.
We finished the meal with an afogarto each which was also excellent.
Well done chef , a very enjoyable evening in a fabulous location.
