I’ve been a loyal customer since they opened. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with them on this occasion, which will stop me from going there again.
I ordered a bday cake (8inch taro flavour) on Easter Monday. When I was ordering it via text messages, they sent me the menu, which clearly said $80 for 8inch. When I went to pick it up, they charged me $92 without explaining the $12 extra. They only pointed me the sign of “15% public holiday surcharge” when I asked why. It would have been nice and also common sense if they told me about the holiday surcharge when I was ordering the cake, especially multiple text messages were exchanged.
Also, this is the ugliest cake I’ve ever had from them. Plain, boring and unappealing. Previously all the caked were decorated nicely with some fruits and even rosemaries as well as pearl beads. The cake I received this time is not an $80 cake, let alone I got charged $92.
$92 for an 8inch ugly cake, what a joke.

This place is a find. I got my daughter’s birthday cake here and they made ordering so easy. Now we call in for coffee and to try other flavours we don’t see so often - today was matcha and taro, and my taro was unexpectedly delicious!!

All the menu I ordered was so delicious. Especially, the waffle was amazing. It's the best waffle in Australia, I think. Highly recommended.

Their cakes are different than most cakes in Tasmania. They have Asian style cakes, which are softer and lighter, which suit my taste more.

But I got to say that I had a tiny disappointment. I ordered a simple blackforest birthday cake with a simple "happy 31st" writing on it. I understood that the cake itself had so many decorations on the top already. But i thought they could write it on a round thin chocolate or something and place it on the cake, but instead, they used a paper and wrote it using a pen 😅 that writing was so ruining the pretty decoration they had made. The other decorations, flavor, and texture saved the cake, though.

An absolutely wonderful cafe, the inside is very well kept neat and inviting, we walked in with about 8 of us and the staff were very lovely and kind and didn’t mind, the food was amazing absolutely worth the money and the drinks were perfect such a large option to chose from, there is even a dog bowl if you bring your dog with you! the atmosphere was very warm and lovely and the staff were very kind and understanding of you accidentally spill something. 10/10 best cafe i’ve seen!

I submitted a custom cake request 7 days ago (first photo) wanting a chocolate cake with white icing, the character and “happy birthday” as decorations. What I received was a brown icing cake that had, what I believe to be, matcha flavoured piping around the outside. Which that flavour was never mentioned or asked for.
The flavour of the cake itself was subpar and almost tastes of a hot chocolate mix and the character looked nothing like the original photo. As seen in the photo of the cake I received, the fondant has been cut and applied poorly looking as though it was a last minute job. If this design was out of their reach, I would have preferred them decline the order and I could have gone elsewhere.
