If I could give it a zero I would. This hotel is a scam. Please do not stay here. This hotel was booked on my family's behalf in town for a funeral and knowing what I know now I wouldn't let my dogs stay here let alone book and give them money front up. No right-minded person would. ||My stay at the hotel was extremely disappointing. The rooms and hallways had a strong odor of cigarettes and pot. The bedding was dirty and had no protection and only had sheets on them, and the towels had stains on them. The carpets were stained and sticky, and the bathroom was moldy and had dead insects. It felt like there were permanent residents living in the hotel which didnt feel safe. The room was not in good condition, with damaged and worn furniture adding to the poor ambiance. We found a ladies' handbag in a drawer with personal belongings, which made us question the cleanliness of this room.Other family staying in differnt room had the same issues.||After spending less than a minute in the room, we decided not to stay. Unfortunately, reception was closed, and we had to wait until the next day to lodge our complaint with managment. Even then, the after-hours staff could only pass on our concerns, leaving us without any solution at the time and no where to stay. ||In reading the ACCC regulations our booking falls under a major fault. Despite demanding a refund, we have yet to receive one even after a week of correspondence and both the hotle and Wotif say we are entitled to a refund for our 3 days booking. ||I have escalated the matter to various consumer protection agencies, including the health department, Consumer Affairs Ombudsman, Fair Trading Office, and our bank. We are even exploring legal options. I refused to let them keep my $371 for a room that was moldy, dirty, and unsafe, especially considering the potential health hazards to my family. For your own safety and comfort, I would advise against staying at this hotel. This place is a SCAM.

Absolutely the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in over 20 years of travelling for business. |The reviews and photos on the booking sites are false and misleading. |Old worn out bed that squeaks everytime you move. Towels that a child could barely use due to the size and felt very thin and old. |Stained and sticky carpets and the bathroom was moldy and the taps would not turn off. The worst part is they have what seems to be permanent residents living here that think they can party with loud music, sing songs, smoking marijuana till all hours of the night. The “kitchenette” is a dirty microwave and an old counter top oven with hot plates on top. You have to wash your own dishes, if you dare use them. The coffee and sugar was so old they were solid and unusable. |This place needs to be demolished and the owners need to be accountable for refunds. |DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

worst hotel in history. do not come here. management is horrible. the old woman that works as a manager here is so cruel & careless about everything to do with the hotel that doesn’t concern her.

the rooms & hallways reek of cigarettes & there are cigarette butts left all over the balcony. the bathroom also had hair all over the sink. not cleaned one bit.

had one of the housekeepers steal a bag of my belongings when cleaning my room while we were out. i went to reception, who said they have no record of the room being cleaned in the first place. which was a lie, because the beds were made & there were new towels set up.

the manager made one of the poor housekeepers dig through the pick up bins for my stuff, and when we found nothing, i asked for a refund of my stuff, as i had shoes, clothes & underwear valued over $300. i even asked her to come into my room herself to check it out, which she refused & said it’s my word against the hotel’s. she said she spoke to the housekeeper that “cleaned” my room, to which she never even brought out the housekeeper to speak to me. she did not care at all, didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience she made & actually made a snarky comment about my shoes being in the same bag as my dirty clothes.

no cameras anywhere except for the reception, so i can’t even find footage of someone going into my room.

absolutely horrible service from this woman.

don’t waste your time coming here. you will find much cleaner & safer places to stay in cairns for a better price.

Do not go to this hotel. It is very poorly maintained, most of the equipment is broken. The employees are not paid well, I worked there for few months and the housekeepers are timed to clean the rooms so we don't have time to deep clean each room and the dirt accumulates. The carpets in the rooms keep bad odors like cigarette smells and others… And the boss doesn't want to pay me for the last nights I spent on call, I've been waiting for the money for months! I don't know how to get this money so I share with you what is really happening in this hotel. This is my worst professional experience. If I could, I would have given it 0 stars.

Supposed to stay 4 nights, when I checked I I could immediately smell a mixture of cigarettes, mould and filth. The bedding was absolutely filthy. Went to use cutlery after heating up food in the microwave and the fork appeared to have been eaten off and put directly back into the drawer. Carpet appeared to have never been vaccumed, ever and the whole place just stunk. All night long doors were slamming and banging, definitely felt unsafe. The windows outside my bedroom was damaged by what looked like a crow bar attempt to break in. Did not feel safe in this place at all day or night. The only positive was the lady at Reception who was helpful and kind. When I advised her that I needed to leave due to the state of the place, she did not seem surprised and almost looked embarrassed. Surely there are standards which need to be upheld, selling this as 4 star is completely dishonest and misleading. I would only give it 1 star due to the service of the lady on Reception. Do not book at this place because the minute you arrive, you will regret it.

The lady at reception was friendly but the room was awful the towels were paper thin I scratched all night as I’m sure there were bed bugs. The room was dusty, smelly and old furniture. Outside the room the cleaning staff left a pile of dirty smelly soiled bed linen, had to ask twice for somebody to remove it. I recommend only stay here if you are desperate, sleep in your car would be better! This place needs a total refurbishment or bull-dozed!

Mite hotel. Everything is dirty, from room to premises it was filthy. I usually do not put negative reviews but I am obliged to return this information.
Under the beds: food, waste, dust and so on
The second bed, the sheets were not even changed.
Carpeting the entire hotel is more than dirty. I don't advise you to put barefoot on it.
The walls are fine, we hear all the neighbors. Glaucous hotel, we don't feel safe there.
The reception is open when they like.
We requested cancellation of one night on the 4 before we arrived at the hotel. We were denied this request. It's the first time that's happened to us.
We didn't spend the last night in this dirty room.
We hope to receive a refund.

The laundry gets locked at 5pm and opens at 9am. The laundry is free to use. I have been here for 4 days. The room I was staying in has not had a clean. I have to take out the rubbish from the room and have had to ask for fresh towels and soap etc. there is no plates or bowls to use and no where to wash up. The cold water tap handle came off and had to wait for the following afternoon to have a shower. This happened when arrived at the accommodation.
