Take a journey back to the 1800s and discover the rich memories of a bygone era. Let your imagination soar as you explore a town filled with love, laughter, and the challenges of everyday life.

Step inside the homes where families were born and generations thrived. Explore the tools and household items that were once essential for daily chores, and gain a newfound appreciation for the conveniences we often take for granted.

Visit the police station, situated right next to the jail, and delve into the poignant stories of those who spent time within its walls.

There's an incredible amount to see and learn here, showcasing the dedication and passion that has gone into creating this extensive collection—one of the finest historical destinations I've encountered.

When you need a break, hop on a train ride or relax at one of the many onsite cafes for a refreshing pause.

As you stroll through the grounds, you'll be surrounded by abundant nature and a variety of birdlife. While some areas offer lovely shade, it's wise to bring a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle to stay comfortable.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and eager to share the fascinating history and stories behind the exhibits.

With ample free parking, wheelchair and disability access, and multiple restrooms, this destination is welcoming and convenient for all visitors.

Great Museum to come and visit. There is plenty of history to be found here. One can spend a couple of hours here checking out everything. Definately a must see, if one gets the chance and is in the area.

I enjoyed walking around and didn't see everything in 1 visit. I mostly enjoy the gem club onsite and the kids doing a gem fossick. Friendly volunteers and a nice little cafe.
They have been working on more Ramps and access to buildings. Oh i totally forgot, THEY HAVE A HOLOGRAM - crazy! Old meets new!

One of the best places I’ve been too I needed way more than 90mins coming back for a second visit soon. This time starting in the morning so if I take all day brilliant. Well worth the trip and please take your time there to really enjoy the moment. So much to see and explore it’s like a whole town plus some more.

A unique blend of historical exhibits and dining. The setting provides a quaint, old-world charm that’s pleasant for a leisurely visit. The historical displays are informative and well-maintained. However, the restaurant aspect is somewhat average. The food was satisfactory but lacked any standout flavors or creativity. Service was decent, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it a good spot for a casual meal. If you're interested in history, it’s worth a visit, but if you're solely looking for a dining experience, there are better options nearby.

An atmospheric mix of old houses and businesses set up as they would have been and buildings housing vehicles and tools of yesteryear. Everything is really clean and in good condition. The fountain and planting are really lovely too. There are two cafes but both were closed when we got there at 1 pm on Sunday and the train wasn't going either, I think we were the only people there as we didn't see a soul for the three hours we were there, except the receptionist who was very nice. I suppose this just happens sometimes as it's staffed by volunteers so just remember to take some snacks and a drink in case. Definitely wear plenty of mosquito spray, I did and still got bitten 4 times. Big thanks to the volunteers, we learnt a lot and will remember it, it was a really good day out.

We visited during the annual halloween event held at Caboolture Historical Village this year. Halloween is always a magical time of year; giving adults and kids an excuse to dress up, have fun and indulge our sweet tooth just a little. It was our first time attending this event, and what an experience we had. The village gave a nice balance of fright while also being family friendly. Be prepared to hear many screams as you explore the night. The halloween decorations showcased were beautifully integrated with the historical buildings, and curated items can be enjoyed throughout the village. The mandatory jumpscare was on the table for the night. Volunteers included ghosts and ghouls in the hospital, witches that gave us a wonderfully 'horrifying' welcome as well as a caged prisoner. The details were well thought throughout the event. You could also find a chainsaw madman chasing people through the village. There were statues that came alive. We enjoyed the miniature train ride, which also included murderous gunmen firing away from the minature forest. This gave us a good jump. Next halloween, I would recommend adding Caboolture Historical Village on your list for a fun family fright night.
