A really good national park when there's been a bit of rain. I've been here quite a few times, but 20 years or more ago, and the waterfalls were very paltry, but right now, they are magnificent. And it's so lush under the forest canopy. The bunyas are magnificent, there's some very cool strangler figs. Lots of wildlife, birds especially. And such a different climate to the one we left in Brisbane. Cool nights, pleasant days.
Finally, there are enough walking tracks to keep you busy for two full days walking. I strongly recommend a visit

A great little NP, plenty of trail walking options from easy short to Longer and harder walks. Views of water falls, the local forrest or distant views of the regional farmland. Accommodation from campsites, motel and house are available, all close the the tavern, shop and National Parks office and trail heads. This is a good birding location.

Had a peaceful family trip to Bunya Mountains National Park. The natural surroundings were beautiful, and we loved the walking trails. Seeing wallabies up close was a nice touch. The picnic areas were tidy and convenient for families. Some trails were a bit steep but manageable. A good place for a relaxing day out in nature. 🌄
