Lady at front desk ( I believe her name was Sharon) was amazing , so welcoming and friendly. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean. Beds were comfy, although pillows were a little bit uncomfortable, but still an all round great experience.
Had a private room with a balcony , which was great.
10/10 would stay again.
Thankyou Brisbane manor.

Obviously an aged manor which has never really been renovated. Given the price and location, if you're expecting luxury then you'll be disappointed. However, the room was what I'd expect from a budget motel. Reminded me of the good old days of staying in country pubs.

Cons:
- The first night came as a bit if a shock to us. As we arrived, the reception staff ignored us for quite some time, as they were chatting to someone. When they finished, we were given a registration form with no further instructions.
- Once in the room, we noticed some privacy issues: the blinds had large gaps between them and the windows; our room was on the bottom floor, next to the driveway, which meant people could see through the wooden foundation into our room.
- The shared toilet had a window, at chest level, always opened that led straight to the side entrance of the building where people definitely could see into.
- Additionally when we closed the blinds, a cockroach appeared, and multiple emerged throughout our stay (minimum of 2 every morning), particularly around the kitchen area. A massive huntsman spider also made its way into our room that first night, much to my dismay (I'm very scared of spiders). Noting that we kept the door closed at the time with a blanket across the bottom, but they still made their way in somehow…
- The cleanliness of the room was also questionable: the floor was definitely never cleaned before or throughout our stay, as we noticed dirt and liquid on our feet only after a few steps, even after asking for our room to be made up; the sheets and towels also had a few stains and, when used, left residues on my body.
- Shared toilet had no toilet paper the first two days of our stay, and no soap for the full 4 days we stayed.
- Walls were thin. Talking, creakiness, footsteps, etc. were very clearly heard.
- This is niche, but there were no lamps or bedside tables, only two large overhead white lights which were quite overbearing.

Pros:
- The air conditioning was great, they had a ceiling fan and wall aircon, so very good for the summer time.
- Bed was very soft and comfortable.
- Shared shower had good water pressure and the hot water was quick to come on.

Would not recommend nor would we be coming back.

This hotel is in a lovely building. The shared facilities are very good. The laundry is good value. We were unlucky to get the room near the front door. People bang it a lot throughout the night.

Super affordable for the stay in city. Nice to have a terrace, fridge, sink in the room of half basement. The bed and shared bathrooms were clean. We slept good with a fan on. Might need an air con in the peak summer? Only one minor thing was a funny smell on the corridor sometimes but didn't affect us much.

The reason I’m rating the room is 4 star because when I got the room, there was some sort of amber liquid on the sitting chair indoor (room cleaning need to be better). Beside that, everything is nice. I should have take a picture at that time.

It’s an old building and affordable so don’t expect top decor but you will have a clean room, hot water, comfy bed and friendly staff. A perfect base to explore the city if on a budget.

I stayed at Brisbane Manor Hotel last week for a music event and enjoyed my stay immensely! The reception was warm and welcoming, and my room (single with private bath+shower) was clean and comfortable. When I arrived, the towels were still warm from the dryer.

There was an attached balcony for smoking, a bar fridge, inbuilt storage, a large desk, and vending machines just down the hall. The valley metro is 3 stops from the nearby bus stop, or a 10-minute walk.

Additionally, despite being in the middle of the city, due to the dense trees surrounding the building, it was quite peaceful.

If I ever need to stay overnight in Brisbane again, Brisbane Manor Hotel will definitely be my first choice!
