I spent 3 nights staying in the SweetCorn workers cottage on the Brickendon Estate. Its a gorgeous quiet place. I loved sitting out on the verandah soaking up the peacefulness. I also enjoyed having access to the heritage areas to explore, including when it wasn't open to the public. Its a lovely place to visit and to stay.

We had a lovely stay in the Old Farm Cottage for 2 nights. It was comfortable and clean with plenty of breakfast items provided. The grounds were really interesting with all the old buildings and equipment. We did the walk to Woolmers Estate next door which is definitely worth a visit too. It was so peaceful and quiet - I wish we had stayed longer.

A fascinating place with genuine historic value and authenticity. Nothing here is faked up for the tourists. It’s a real, living cultural landscape showing how a single family has loved and cared for the place for almost 200 years without significant change, yet remaining a real working farm, including a beautiful Georgian house (not open inside because it remains the family’s home), gardens with magnificent trees and plantings; and of course the unique barns and many intact farm buildings and animals that can be visited. A 1hr walk connects Brickendon to the neighbouring estate of Woolmers through the paddocks. We spent all day there and could easily have spent another full day.

Expansive beautiful outlook from out verandah cottage, over the sheep paddocks to the hills of Launceston. Comfortable cottage with everything you need, wonderful to have breakfast supplied and much appreciated. Wandered the entire property and appreciated the hard work put in by its ancestors.

If you love animals and peace, it’s the perfect getaway. I could have patted the donkeys all day, and I loved the atmosphere. So relaxed and enjoyable. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re elderly or travelling with an elderly person, the flooring in the cottage we stayed in was uneven, and my mum was a bit worried about walking around at night. Something to keep an eye on. The place was just wonderful though, and the family so welcoming.

We were immediately immersed in the fascinating aura of this special place - shear travel in time (however not lacking modern convenience). Complete with access to the gardens and historic site of the estates ( and it's produce: breakfast). Thank you for preserving this historic site! We were enchanted..

Brickendon is a unique quintessential experience ‘ steeped in history with modern day convenience’. ||It is so special to stay in the farm cottages and wake up to a beautiful golden dawn.

Would highly recommend. Plenty of comfortable beds, generous breakfast supplies, peaceful and relaxing views from the porch, rustic renovations in keeping with the historical significance of the area.
