Although the staff were polite and accommodating to some extent, the venue IS quite rundown, untidy and well outdated. On arrival we were greeted by a cheerful young man. However, behind the reception desk there was everything from vacuum cleaners, linen, photocopiers, paperwork, high chairs, bags, cleaning products to name a few misplaced things. When we went to our room we were faced with broken windows, leaves in the hallway, bird excrement, and an enormous fan which appeared to be blowing out the musty smell. The room was clean, but very outdated and we were disappointed the TV didn’t work and did not enjoy having to climb into a bath to have a shower! We noticed an al a carte menu in the reception when checking in, however the only choice we were offered was Chinese when we went to order dinner. The food was just acceptable. The drinks were well priced. Then at 8:24pm we were advised they were closing in 20min….. at 8:34pm we told to leave as they were closing. Breakfast was another experience entirely….. the table we sat at for dinner was still uncleaned from the night before, warm iced coffee, uncooked sausage, raw roasted tomatoes, uncooked bacon and ‘forgotten’ orders. Overall a very underwhelming and overpriced experience that will not be repeated any time soon.

A bad experience; I regret not checking the reviews before booking.
The hot water for the shower was yellowish — couldn’t take a bath. Room was freezing and the aircon didn’t work. The only good part was the night staff changing the remote after a call.

We choose this place because it was near our next destination. We checked out early in the morning and went to the city hotel — couldn’t bear to stay here. Not worth the expensive rate.

My partner booked a deluxe room for an overnight stay, we had trouble getting in touch with the hotel due to a phone outage and it took a lot of effort to find this out, they didn't send emails or texts to advise.

When I eventually got through to them it was a little hard to understand the reception staff but eventually got after hours instructions. When we arrived it wasn't really clear where the room was located, there was a map but it was still difficult to determine where the room was and where we were supposed to park and there wasn't any signeage to point the way, especially in the dark.

Eventually found where the room was and when we walked into the block it was obvious the "resort" hadn't been updated for MANY years. The carpet was old and looked like it was from the 80's when the resort was viewed as luxurious. Entered the room and the decor was also very old, the headboard had a whole in it, the lamps were old, the carpet was old and the bathroom hadn't been updated for many years. There was a hole in the wall where the bath spout used to be that had been capped and not repaired.

In the morning we went outside to check out the golf course and the gutters were rusted and falling down. In the daylight the roadways and general appearance of the resort was dilapidated and there was very little signage to show where rooms were located. We checked out and had breakfast in Normanville so I can't speak on the food but the rest of the experience was pretty average.

If you go there, don't expect anything modern, 3 stars is probably just met by the hotel. I loved that my partner organised it as a surprise but was let down by the title of the room as it certainly didn't match what we got.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, has a bar, a nice restaurant with plenty of gluten free options and our dinner was cooked fresh. We had the special fried rice and beef in black bean sauce, it was yummy. Heated pool, spa, gym, pool table, mini golf, and more. Definitely recommended. Lovely experience.

Everything you'd expect to be there is there such as room and hotel service amenities. Mini golf and pool table were fun and the pool looked clean. Free parking was available on site and staff were friendly. However, everything was outdated from the carpets to the furniture. It felt like we'd hopped in a time capsule. Disappointing that all services stopped at 8pm. We had to travel to nearby towns for something to eat and do late at night. We didn't try the food so can't comment on that. Lots of kangaroos and horses around. We would love to come again if some of the facilities are updated as the location is great.

As a HSR staying at this resort I have reported this resort to safework. All tagged electric items are over 5 years out of date somenot even tagged. No designated outdoor smoking area, so while eating dinner inside, cigarette smoke is blowing inside. Oh and many many more issues. I suggest others who have stayed to contact safework aswell

Yes, this resort does need updating. The furniture had scratches, the TV only had a few channels available to view. The staff definitely need training on how to make the bed up properly.
My main gripe would be, that the only option for dinner was Chinese. We stayed for 6 days, reception said there would be a Western menu available on certain days but that never happened at all. The Chinese menu we tried one day, was ok, something like you would get in a food court.
This resort is quite remote, so having a Western menu available all the time, would be beneficial.
Also it wouldn't hurt to be socially friendly at reception. The morning we left, there was no " How was your week with us? Hope you enjoyed your stay with us." etc. Just took the keys.
