This hotel is perfect for professionals. Practical, functional and well-staffed.

Staff were great, the room layout was…interesting but functional and quite funky. The proximity to Town Hall is also fantastic and any hotel with coffee pods instead of international roast or blend 43 sachets has my attentions.||We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and we did find the street noise to be quite loud, the only other complaint was with the shower and getting hot water through, our room was taking a few minutes before it would heat up, reception was getting maintenance to look at it when we left

Great little hotel in a great location. The rooms are not massive but as I was only staying the one night that did not matter. The room had everything I needed for my stay and I especially noted the number of power points in lots of useful locations. As a solo female traveler knowing there was a 24 hour reception was very welcome, but I did not felt I needed as the hotel was quiet and secure.

We stayed 2 nights and loved our stay. The location is perfect, close to everything in the city. The hotel is newly renovated, beautifully clean and the staff are very friendly. The room configuration is great with a little couch to sit at a coffee table to watch TV. We highly recommend The Clarence Hotel.

My wife and I stayed at The Clarence in May and we were very impressed.
So when our daughter needed an overnight city stay, we booked her in to the same hotel.
She was likewise impressed and wanted to give special mention to Gabriel who was courteous, friendly, professional and attentive.
The Clarence is a great hotel for an overnight or 2 night stay in the city, being close to theatres, dining options and other attractions.

Loved my two recent stays at The Clarence. It is perfectly located a short walk from food, shopping and the train to the airport. The rooms are lovely and contain everything needed for a short stay. The staff are very well chosen, with a special mention of Maxime on reception who charmingly accommodated my very basic attempts at speaking French and always had a smile. Sophia also a pleasure to talk to. The housekeeping staff were the friendliest I have met in a hotel. I'll definitely return, and am looking forward to trying the restaurant when it opens.

In a Sydney for a weekend by myself & chose this hotel for the location. It is a refurbished hotel all new features but the whole hotel was space limited. The building is very narrow with the rooms even more so. ||It is suitable for a single person, though space between the bed and the wall is less than 30 centimetres. With a couple the space would be very cramped. ||Staff were friendly and happy to store my luggage when I was leaving.

Will definitely book The Clarence again when visiting Sydney next. The whole hotel is newly renovated, with the space in the rooms laid out perfectly. Comfy beds and wonderful staff, especially Naomi who was extremely helpful with our reservation. For the price in this area, it was phenomenal value. Great bars,resturants and transport on the door step too. Highly recommend!!
