The Restaurant closed due to a power failure. The reception offered a shuttle service to a nearby resort for dinner, but the shuttle never arrived and the reception was not helpful to find out when or if it will come, just said we can wait at the gate. The result was that we had to take a taxi to town, to find the restaurant kitchens are closed (8pm). Returning, the majority of footpaths were dark and dangerous to walk.The apartment at first glance looked amazing, but everything is well used and old. My son had to fix the toilet that did not want to flush because the water was running all the time. The units phone did not work when calling reception and reception did not answer when calling from my mobile. A recorded message plays until the call ends itself. I reported that to the receptionist and she said 'we were not busy on the phone and did receive other calls', as if I'm telling a lie. Although the receptionists are friendly, they are not helpful at all, and do not know simple things like pool opening and closing times. Each receptionist gave a different answer and none was the same as on the pool gate.I did love the swimming area (cold pools) and the spa pool, the only (very) hot pool. I loved the gardens that give a very tropical feel and the bush turkeys are very tame. Even though the gardens and pool area are excellent, I was not interested to stay longer when my flights got cancelled. I will not stay here again

Recently stayed at Aanuka Beach Resort at Coffs, newly renovated and was very impressed by the restaurant and bar area, such an amazing location for a stay or just dinner/cocktails. Staff were incredible, and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, especially the lady running the breakfast. I highly recommend this Resort for short or long stay, there really isn't anything better at Coffs and a perfect spot to stopover.

My family of five, including a toddler, traveled six hours from the Central Coast to enjoy a much-needed holiday, only to be met with immense disappointment. Upon arrival, we were greeted not by the relaxing atmosphere we had envisioned, but by the sight of a large crane and extensive construction work dominating most of the resort (3/10/24). To our dismay, the main pool and restaurant were closed, leaving only a small, unheated pool that was too cold to use due to its lack of sunlight.

The apartment we were given felt cold and depressing, far from the experience we expected at a rate of $700 per night. What had been advertised—multiple pools and restaurant facilities—was nowhere to be found. The nearest available accommodation was in Port Macquarie, a further two-hour drive back in the direction of the Central Coast, which we had no choice in booking.

The receptionist offered no support in finding alternative accommodation and couldn’t provide an immediate refund. Instead, we were told that a request would need to be made through the manager via email, adding to our frustration. We didn’t receive an apology, no compensation, or even an offer for future stays at their other resorts. All we were told was that they would “try to do better next time.”

We had planned a boat trip for Sunday, which is now non-refundable, and with no available accommodation in Coffs Harbour, we have no choice but to cut our holiday short and return home after just one night in Port Macquarie. This entire experience has been a shock, and we are appalled by the lack of regard and customer service shown by the resort. Our holiday is ruined, and it’s disheartening to see how little effort was made to rectify the situation. All they had to do was notify us in advance of what state the hotel was in and we could have booked elsewhere.

Was really looking forward to a much needed time away only to find the main pool is closed, the restaurant totally booked out for our entire stay and the room old, tired and smelled like stale cigarettes. Ever piece of furniture in our room looked like it had been found on curbside collection. What a waste. Just wanted to leave as soon as we realised. Don't book here.

I am sure it will be great after the renovations are completed.
We were disappointed that we couldn't park closer to our villa. Also, more coffee sachets would have been good. We had 6 sachets supplied for 7 women over 3 days.
Overall, once we got inside we had a lovely weekend. The rooms were beautiful, beds comfy.

Lots of things to say about this resort. Booked direct for 3 nights. Sun 20th - Wed 23rd Oct with another couple celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary who booked there own 2 bedroom apartment Arrived 2.30pm Sunday pleasant greeting - Our room 108A was at the rear end of the resort which is a good 10 mins walk away from reception over a bridge with a locked gate. We later learnt that the bar / restaurant / was non operative due to major electrical fault for our entire stay - main pool area non operative due to renovations. Room renovations next door to us made it impossible but after complaining we were kindly moved on the Monday to the front half of the resort to a lovely but dated suite 112. The resort overall is lovely and has a lot going for it especially for families with children - excellent recreation facilities and once all renovations are complete it will makes a lovely holiday experience. Staff were great and did there best under difficult conditions. To sum up - we were unlucky - we paid a premium price for a resort which was not really functional so had to drive to other places to eat -:which for us really a huge disappointment and management should be ashamed that we along with other guests were not offered some form of compensation for the non delivery of services and facilities promoted and advertised.

Rang and booked directly, but were never informed that the restaurant was closed for renovations. We had a 5 day stay, but found it poor that only one set of towels were supplied, and no room service, for garbage removal. We had a 5 day conference at Opal Cove resort just up the road but decided to give this place a try. Arriving we found that the area of the resort we were allocated had also been without WiFi and were not informed, until we tried unsuccessfully to connect. Lovely location but left disappointed.
