Anna was an attentive host who really went over and above to ensure that we had comfortable and an enjoyable stay. Anna provided me with detailed instructions and explanations which made for easy access and a pleasurable stay. The cottage was very clean and neatly presented. A fire was lit prior to our arrival and a loaf of home baked bread was brought over which made us feel very welcome. I would recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a quiet, peaceful get away. This place is perfect. Hubby and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend away. Lovely cottage with lovely views. The freshly baked bread on arrival was such a lovely touch and tasted so good. Breakfast supplies were great too. The fireplace was very cosy and the spa bath was relaxing after a day of walking the wonderful lookouts and gardens in the area. Could not have asked for anything better. The hot chocolate was really good too. Highly recommend

We have been staying at Bower Cottage in the stunning Blue Mountains for approximately seven years now. We prefer to stay there in autumn as the beautiful autumn colours of the leaves and the fresh crisp air just makes the Blue Mountains even more special then they are. Bower Cottage is perfect. Anna adds all her special touches with freshly baked bread, some yummy treats in the fridge, the tastiest muesli we have ever had, and fresh fruit, chocolates and lovely candles lit for our arrival. The bed is super comfy and so warm and the spa bath is a treat ! We get cosy on the lounge by the fire and relax and wind down. There are so many wonderful things to do in Blackheath and the Blue Mts......or you can just curl up in Bower Cottage and do next to nothing at all. We thoroughly recommend a peaceful and comfortable stay in Bower Cottage.

I booked the bower cottage as a surprise weekend away for my husband and I. The cottage was beautiful, a freshly baked loaf of bread up on arrival, all the spreads you could need as well as cereals, tea and coffee etc. It was a beautiful weekend just enjoying each other's company. The TV didn't even get turned on. The gas heater was great and kept the whole cottage warm. There is everything here you could need for a perfect few days away. We stayed in A Bower Above for a long weekend. We found it to be very cosy for a couple, and a convenient 5 minute drive to the Blackheath restaurants. We would have preferred the Cottage as it has a wood fire but were too late with booking. The gas heater together with electric blankets kept the place warm. |The freshly baked bread, yoghurt, granola, fruit and berries were a nice touch that meant we could have something to eat before we went out each day. I especially liked that it was all eco-friendly with the shampoo, soap, detergent and composting. |An extra curtain to keep the room darker early morning would be helpful. We would stay here again.

Where can I even start?...I booked bower above cottage for my husbands birthday over the Australia Day long weekend. Anna was so lovely to deal with from the moment I made the enquiry and I just knew we had to stay there. Anna truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. To all those complaining that it’s not secluded and feels like you’re in a granny flat...that is completely not the case at all. My husband and I felt completely alone the whole 4 days. It’s so secluded and private and really nice to get away from reality for a little bit. My husband and I loved every second of our stay at Bower Cottage. It was clean with fresh sheets and towels and Anna really goes out of her way to make sure you have a nice romantic getaway . She also recommended Thai silk and alchemy wood fired pizza which my husband and I both loved ...so much so that we ate at the Thai restaurant twice . We had the most magical and perfect weekend and if you’re looking for a nice secluded and romantic weekend away bower above is the place to stay. Thank you to Anna for this little bit of romantic heaven you provided for us we will definitely be back .

Anna is a perfect host.lovely greeting upon arrival. Had a lovely weekend at Bower Cottage. Loved the special delivery of a delicious home baked loaf of bread. ||Loved the rustic old world charm. ||Very peaceful setting. Great wildlife as well. Even had some kangaroos make an appearance.||Would highly recommend to everyone.

We have been staying at the Bower for years now. We try & get to the mountains twice a year. We love the Bower because its so very private and serene. The back deck is perfect for breakfast to sit and bird watch. The resident bower birds always make an appearance and the magpies come & say hello too. This time a young kookaburra came and sat on the rail and watched us. As for the cottage itself, it has everything you need for a weekend. Comfy bed, big spa bath, well equipped little kitchen, tv, dvd player etc. ||Great private location, close to Evans Lookout which is stunning. Great bushwalking around & Blackheath is just a short drive away with great cafes & a wonderful book shop. ||||And Autumn the perfect time of year. Wentworth St, Blackheath full of Autumn colours. But Spring is great too with the Rhoddendren Gardens in bloom.||||And a quick mention of the wonderful host, Anna who is always helpful & happy to recommend places to eat or visit. ||||We will keep coming back for a long time to come. ||||In fact, I've changed my mind....dont stay here...,I don't want people to discover this gem as then we won't be able to get in!
