They need to get educated on how to organise a queue. After many years and many graduation ceremonies, you would have thought they had figured out you need people outside to organise the crowd. There is no reason people should need to queue all the way down North Tce. Do better University of Adelaide.

Impressive space- make sure you look up and admire the portraits and ceiling detail.

Local guide tip 1: Indoor conditions
It can be a bit cold and draughty in winter... the wooden chairs can get a bit hard under your bottom if you are watching a ceremony or performance for more than 30 minutes: if visiting in winter, wear a long-line warm jacket to counteract the cold and provide extra cushioning between you and the wooden seats.
Local guide tip 2: Parking
I highly recommend catching the tram if possible. It is likely you'll need to park a fair distance from the Hall if you look for on-street parking. Otherwise, the Target store's carpark (accessed from Rundle Street) is probably the closest available parking.

Many heritage buildings in South Australia belongs to the University of Adelaide. One of the most beautiful is the gothic style Bonython Hall, a ceremonial venue used for graduations and public lectures. It stands beautifully facing the North Terrace and gives the University of Adelaide such an amazing grand feeling.

Truth be told I did not go inside, but wow such lovely architecture! I was here at dawn and watching sky start to light up whilst the tree lights etc were still on was lovely! The architecture clashes positively with the newer building around the campus adding to the experience as well.
