Not to miss when travelling to PortStephen, thoroughly impressed
Ordering through their QR system was incredibly convenient, especially for a venue of this size. It made the whole process smooth and easy. The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. I'm also excited to hear about their newly opened accommodation and can't wait to spend a night there in the future!

Horrible experience. Firstly the staff were so rude. Whenever I went up to the counter I was made to wait despite there being no other customers, then was very quickly dismissed when expressing issues with ordering and seeing the menu. Then after successfully ordering we received our first two burgers within 20 minutes, which is very reasonable despite the fact one of the burgers was very raw in the middle. We proceeded to wait another 20 minutes before a waitress came out to tell us they were unable to make the pizza we ordered and she was also unable to communicate with us how the situation was going to be rectified or get our money back for the pizza we ordered. After another 15 minutes our two chicken burgers came out, stone cold. We continued to wait another 20 minutes for the pizza replacement and a side of potatoes, which we not fully cooked through and barely warm. When these meals arrived we asked for napkins and cutlery, which we hadn’t received when the first lot of meals came out 40 minutes prior. The waitress returned, annoyed at our request and slammed the cutlery on the table. Dispute the multiple trips to our table no empty plates were taken away. Awful experience, felt completely dismissed when talking to staff, food was horrible. I will not be back. Something needs to change.

What a lovely experience!

My first time to Murray’s but definitely not my last. When you pull in to the brewery you’re greeted with the vintage pleasures of a boutique vineyard. Beyond that the rustic buildings of Murray’s itself beckons you in.

I started with a new to tap Pilsner and unsurprisingly the taste was as delightful as the service.

I ordered the “Angry man” pizza and the wagyu beef burger. Let me tell you, I was anything but angry when it was hand delivered to my table and bellowed with warm and smell.

Overall I was incredibly pleased with the experience and my expectations were well and truly met.

I will be returning!

Food was great but the service was pretty slow, we waited over an hour for a couple of burgers and a pizza. The waitstaff were lovely though, and very apologetic. Pizza was exceptional. Great for the kids in the beer garden. Shame they don’t have an alcohol free beer?! Maybe bring one in if you don’t brew your own?

Unfortunately a disappointing visit.

We arrived and waited for the lady behind the tasting bar to acknowledge us, after waiting, got told that we need to book and they can't get us in for an hour (2 people were getting a tasting but there was free seats next to them) Went to order a coconut milkshake, not available. Then went to order a caramel hot chocolate, also not available...

Service by the the guy when ordering was great. Only good thing about this venue were the animals.

Do yourself a favour and drive up the hill to Sunset and Vine at Wonganella Estate!!

It's my first time coming here and I was surprised by how the prices of the food are similar, if not, pricier than the food in the city of Sydney. On top of it, the food quality wasn't great. Ordered $12 chips which came in a small bowl with a small packet of tomato sauce, not even enough for one person. I also had pork belly bites, which I have high expectations of because I love pork belly and I seem to always order them whenever I see it on the menu—I do not recommend to order it from this place. It was overpriced and doesn't taste that great. Pineapple salsa wasn't even salsa imo, just chopped up pineapples and veggie mixed together. I didn't have beer but my partner did and seem to like it. I had hugo spritz which isn't on par to spritzes in the city but at the same price. The redeeming thing is that they have a beautiful outdoor beer garden but I won't be coming back here.

HORRIBLE experience!! Poor service from the owner which clearly filters down the chain. Couldn't get a tasting when only 2 people were tasting, couldn't book high tea, tried to get some drinks and food and more than half of what we wanted wasn't available. When it did come most was inedible/drinkable and left on the table. Waste of money and time. Go up the hill to Sunset+Vine was 1000% better and welcomed with open arms!

We broke our 2 decade streak of buying Murray’s wines today. We live in Sydney and have visited Murray’s almost every year; we have tasted every wine, and purchased them in boxes as we left Port Stephens.
Today (8Jun25) there was a lady with glasses at the counter. A man was purchasing cookies and we let him go ahead and pay as we wanted to taste and buy. He paid and thanked the lady. She started chatting with him, he told her he was from England and visiting . He was hurrying to leave conscious of us waiting. But she kept chatting or flirting. We now know he was single, visiting for some work and due to be around for few weeks. She had no consideration for us waiting in Que. Not sure if she assumed we were there to taste not buy. Did she profile us based on skin? I am disappointed and gutted that a place we visited as tradition for many years has taken such a bad turn. I will never come back here.
