Great little motel. Staff are friendly- especially Max. Fair price point for the location. Parking is on site. Rooms are big and the bathrooms are ample size. Rooms I have booked have a balcony and often have a view of the Boat Harbour Light House. Overall it’s a nice spot that is very close to the beach and a short walk from plenty of places to eat.

We stayed here for 1 night as a stopover for our trip further down South.
Max was quite lovely to greet us upon arrival. Although, when we got to our room and settled in, we soon realised that the cleanliness was not good. There were short dark hairs scattered all over the bathroom floor and inside the shower, also the carpet had 100% NOT been vacuumed as there were grey hairs scattered all over the carpet and a lot of dust.
Humans moult, we understand that, so all the more reason to be thorough when housekeeping cleans the room?

The road out the front does get quite noisey with the local hoons driving about on a Friday night. The overall decor of the room could use a little upgrade, but I must say, the King bed was rather comfortable...that's the only good/positive thing I can comment about this place.

The carpark was just about full when we arrived (we snagged the last spot!) and there is no other street parking near by unless you want to drag your luggage up the street. Quite inconvenient!

When we approached Max upon check-out the next morning, he noted down our feedback regarding the hairs and unclean room, but no compensation was offered? The price was quite high for a 3 star motel, I must say. We were going to book the Novotel Wollongong in the first place, but decided to stay at the Boat Harbour motel to say a few dollars. But by the unclean room and loud cars we experienced, made me feel like we should've paid that little extra for luxury at the Novotel.

Unfortunately we won't be returning to Boat Harbour Motel and will also alert any of our friends/family to steer clear of staying there too!

Great roomy renovated room. Bathroom needs an upgrade but adequate. Couldn’t get a better location to marina. Parking is an issue.

Location is excellent. Beach right across the road...But, location is very noisy late into the night. If you stay here bring an eye mask and ear plugs. Do not expect anything more than a basic room with a very old aircon, a tiny, uninviting bathroom with no space whatsoever and a musty smell throughout. After sliding the balcony door open, it would not close and the screen door fell completely off when it was slid back. Management did rehang the screen but the balcony door was still a problem when we left.

Not very happy with service booked table for lunch as have guest coming from overseas , called to confirm and NO booking recoreded . Better go else were , Boat house group thumbs down ?

My husband and I have stayed three nights in the motel, the room was spacious, nice and clean and the bed and the pillows were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. I higly recommend this motel.

We were there for the Australia Day Aquathon & our room overlooked the park & the harbour so perfect location. The room itself was large, spacious, clean & comfortable with loads of natural light. The only negative was no towel rail in the bathroom. Apart from that, perfect & would definitely book again.
