Blue Summit Hideaway - Yungaburra, Queensland

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay in a King Twin Spa Villa. It was thoughtfully fitted out to make our stay comfortable and we did not want for anything. Gina and the housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. The location in Yungaburra village is central to shops, the pub and restaurants. On site, our villa overlooked a quiet parkland that charmed us with its gardens, lovely trees and wildlife. We were delighted with our choice and will return to enjoy more stays in the future.

We stayed for 2 nights at Blue Summit Hideaway. Each unit has its own parking spot, located convieniently close to your unit. A little fromt gate seperates the unit from the rest of the property. Behind the gate you find a little courtyard with a table and 2 chairs for outdoor eating or relaxing. The entrance leads into a small but cosy living area and besid it is the bedroom, shower, eperate toilet and a small but well equipped kitchen with everything available you could ask for. The unit presented itself like brand new. It was clean and tidy. There is a well working airconditioning unit and a quiet ceiling fan, as well as a TV.|The attention to detail is second to none. GThe curtaoions are generous with plenty of overlap, so no light will penetrste during the night. The ceiling fan is well balanced, so it doesn't wobble and hence it is very quiet. All amenities are well chosen and nice. There are plenty of coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine and plenty of tea bags. Everything works perfectly. We had a great time and will be back next time we visit Yungaburra.

Luxury and spoilt.|The tiny little things make a massive difference to a stay. From the moment we parked at the Hideaway, it was purely about us. The unloading of cases into our accommodation with your own park, right by the unit. The bins within reach of your unit, then the furnishings, the comfort and style, all soooo welcoming....the bed was massive, yet, you float on a cloud, the contoured swivel seats that mould your body, the simple totally organic soaps and shampoos and conditiners they have in your room to use, just perfect....We felt like royalty, all this with an easy stroll into the township and platypuses. We cannot wait to rebook that Hideaway, just gorgeous!!!!||Thank you||Dave and Sue xx

Very very quiet private bungalows - has everything you need in the spacious bungalow - large bathroom with spa and I could get my wheelie walker around the room easily - could have been more fresh towels - close to local restaurants and directly over the road from their fantastic markets in Yungaburra -

Our third stay at this exceptional place was once again fantastic. The comfort, quality and location coupled with the attention to detail made for a great stay in the great Yungaburra village. The new landscaping and maintenance is spot on.

We travelled from Perth recently to stay here for two nights. Gina gave us a warm welcome and assisted us kindly by moving our luggage from our car into The Hideaway suite. The suite was modern, clean with beautiful decor. Everything we needed was available. Gina is very knowledgeable about the area. Complimentary port wine personally made by Gina was beautiful and added an extra touch to our stay. We highly recommend staying here.

The location was superb regarding exploring Yungaburra by foot. The walk to the platypus viewing spot was so short that we did it without effort each morning and evening during our stay. And we DID see platypus after going to the spot recommended by the owner, Gina. 🙂

Gina also recommended eating at "Our Place" where I experienced one of the best sandwiches ever. If you go there: Try the BLAT!

Yungaburra exceeded every expectation - the setting, the atmosphere, the locals, the vast variety of shops, the surrounding nature. And of course: The platypus, which were the reason we went in the first place. But we got so much more. Including a spectacular view of a horde of flying foxes going from A to B for the night.

Our villa was absolutely beautiful. And our 10 year old loved that we could relax with a movie on Netflix in the evening after a day's adventure in town. Regardless of one's wish to experience Yungaburra, the stay at Blue Summit would be worth going for.

We left The Blue Summit and Yungaburra with a feeling of wanting to return. That it would be an ideal spot to enjoy retirement, when that time comes.

We stayed 5 nights and loved it. The Villa was spacious, clean and very well appointed. We had Villa 1 and it was very quiet and the shutters on the windows were excellent at blocking the sun so we could sleep in. The complex is well situated in the centre of Yungaburra with all 4 restaurants, cafes, shops, Peterson’s creek walk and platform viewing sites within easy walking distance.
Yungaburra was very centrally situated on the tablelands and made exploring the lakes, waterfalls, waterways and forests very easy.
Gina was great when we arrived and booked the first 2 nights restaurants for us as she knew they were busy (not all are open every night). She has prepared an information folder for each villa and we used it extensively to plan the next day’s travel. We took it with us for each day’s exploration as it contained information not available from the tourist information centres and made our trip so much more enjoyable.
We plan to return in 2 years and will be booking into Blue Summit Hideaway again
