We enjoyed our stay. Booked in for 4 nights and stayed 3 weeks. Amenities are older but were cleaned regularly and everything worked. We moved sites midway through our stay due to the Rodeo being on. First camp was near the dog shelter and yes you can hear the dogs throughout the day but not a major problem. If it is a concern then ask to stay on the otherside of the park. Our second site towards the treatment work and was fine. Occasional smell if the wind is howling but again, not a problem. Only negative was the grass was long and seeding on that side of the park. The Showground is a massive area to maintain but would suggest if the sites are being rented out then they need to be maintained. We will stay again when we are next in Alice

This is the best place to stay always a grassed area, no red dust, the Showgrounds are a massive area and well located just past the gap on highway, very safe and secure.

Lovely sunset in the evening. Not too pricey even for powered sites. Clean bathrooms with showers and hot water. A lovely place to rest and rejuvenate. The staff are lovely kind and helpful. No camp Kitchens included though. Would recommend booking in advance.

We booked for 3 nights and ended up extending our stay to just over two weeks. Helen was fabulous at organising the sites so that we were all spread out and not on top of to eachother like at caravan parks. This was great because we have dogs and it meant that they weren't distracted by other campers right next door. She also suggested areas for us to let our dogs run. It was such a nice change to have big trees for shade and grass under our feet. The showgrounds are a bit of a community hub and it was lovely to sew people ride their horses around the park and oval. The sunsets are fabulous at the showgrounds and the drive in and out of town is also beautiful as you cut through the large rockfaces. On the very last day we saw an emu just over the fence of the showgrounds which was pretty exciting! All the amenities were in good working order and kept clean. The whole place felt relaxing and fuss free. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved seeing all the horses!

We stayed at the showgrounds for 1 night
$35 for powered and $25 for non powered sites. There is also potable water, 2 dump points, 2 washing machines which are $8/load and a clothes line.
Toilets and showers which were very clean.
It is pet friendly .

Wide open spaces with lots of campsites and clean amenities. However, the local dog pound is next door, so it can get noisy if you get a site near the dogs. Ask for a site away from that part of the park.

Great showgrounds for camping. Clean amenities. Vans appeared to be scattered all over. Thanks Alice Springs. Horse activities and BMX track.
