Part of the KYAH hotel, BLAQ had a really nice vibe. Service was good. Smalls were nice, I liked the Manchego Cheese Tart more than the hash brown. The steak was good. Unfortunately, I had a fair few bones in the dory and I personally didn't like the shrimp sauce. Brussel sprouts were great. The winner was dessert with the Madeleines which were fresh out of the oven and amazing. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Such a beautiful experience. Staff were super chill, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding. We had 3 different wines by the glass and all were perfect. I’m looking forward to their autumn menu as I can only imagine it’s going to be amazing. We had pretty much all the items from the entree section of the menu as it was a brunch for us. Can’t wait to go back. The grounds are also really lovely.

Just the best experience we, a family of 3, could’ve hoped for. We, 2 parents and a 2 year old, sat down for an early dinner, and were treated we such care, empathy and kindness by the lovely Farley. This delightful lady deserves a raise for her care and attention she gave us, and I assume, all guests. She helped us with a wine spill the moment it happened (topping us up as compensation), and noted our son loved ice cubes from our drinks, so she gave us a whole glass full of it - which he ate thankfully. The food itself, which Farley also helped us pick, and allowed us to share with our son, was just incredible. The prawns and tarts were a stand out. Then other kids were playing out in the garden, and in the tree, and our boy joined in the fun. Every moment was just so good, and we can’t wait to come back again and again. Thank you for having us ♥️

I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend to celebrate our 7 year anniversary last month! We originally booked in for another restaurant but ended up running super late to our booking so we cancelled it last minute. Despite the other restaurant’s cancellation fee, we’re both glad that we stumbled across this hidden gem, which was also recommended by my boyfriend’s old boss. The service was amazing, attentive, friendly and professional. It was great that the staff accommodated for us even though we came in just before they were about to close up for the day. Food was 10/10! The highlights for me were the sides, cocktail and the mains! Although everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely come back when we are back in the mountains again 🥰

Probably the best dining we’ve had in the Blue Mountains so far. The setting was warm and inviting, and the service was great from start to finish.

The starters were solid, but the standout was definitely the Skull Island tiger prawn - super fresh, perfectly cooked, and the combo with betel leaf and chimichurri was unexpected but worked so well.

For mains, the Murray cod was spot on - moist and perfectly-cooked. The shrimp beurre blanc wasn’t quite to our taste (a bit thick and didn’t quite lift the dish), and the pork chop was just a touch overdone, but the flavours were still enjoyable overall.

Dessert was the surprise winner - brown butter madeleines that tasted straight out of the oven, with crispy edges and a fluffy centre, paired with an incredible fermented honey cream.

The team handled feedback really well and made us feel looked after. We’ll definitely be back - there’s a lot of heart in the food and it’s a great spot for a special night out.

Granted I haven’t done much fine dining, but this was the best experience in fine dining I’ve had. Everything was incredibly delicious and well balanced, definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

My husband and I visited this pet-friendly restaurant near the Blue Mountains with our dog and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was cozy, with blankets and heaters to keep warm, and the staff were incredibly friendly to both us and our pup 💕
We highly recommend the Riverina beef cube roll— it was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The coffee was delicious, and the chocolate cake was amazing. The staff even printed a list of dog-friendly places nearby when we asked for recommendations.
Overall, we loved it and will definitely return. Highly recommend for great food and a welcoming, pet-friendly vibe!🫶🏻

Lovely restaurant; the pretzel bun was soft & lovely. The pork croquettes filled with meat. The Riverina beef cube was amazing with the mushroom was perfect. The pork belly was lovely and crispy. The virgin aperol spritz wasn’t the best, very sour and nothing like a spritz at all. The service was great and atmosphere was great. Great experience 9/10!
