We stopped by for brunch after hearing good things about Blak Cede and we were not disappointed!
The flavours of the food were out of this world and the serves were a really good size so my husband was very happy.
The service and general atmosphere was lovely and welcoming.

A beautiful new cafe in the heart of Nowra. Takeaway scones very well presented: fresh fruit, cream and the jam!! no words, just quality!. Great piccolo and cappuccino to boot, froth is smooth and delish. ?
Looking forward to eating in next time!

Edit: have since eaten in a few times now and satisfaction is guaranteed?. Great menu choices but I always love ordering the smashed avo with a side of bacon... so yum!

Blak Cede is an Aboriginal women-led social and cultural enterprise which cultivates traditional bush foods from their community garden to produce high quality products.

It’s a fantastic initiative and the bonus for foodies is that the result is amazing food and coffee with a bush tucker twist that makes the whole experience five stars!

And the social enterprise of this cafe doesn’t mean it lacks refinement. The fit out, décor and atmosphere are sleek but warm and earthy. The service is friendly and efficient. Even the plates, cups and flat wear are all high quality and memorable.

The coffee is expertly crafted into however you take it and it’s made from locally sourced and deadly beans!

The food is both amazing and great value. I had the smashed avo and it was a mountain of food packed with flavour and little native twists like the Koori dukkah and picked pigface.

There are other interesting variations to the usual breakfast suspects and I am excited to come back to work my way through the menu. There are also daily specials which you should definitely check out.

All in all a great initiative and a great place to eat! It’s my new Nowra favourite ❤️

Great cafe serving native Australian twists on cafe classics. The roo burger special was pretty nice, but I would have loved some chips with that. From that statement you can tell this cafe is a little more health focused than most. Staff were all lovely and service was fast. Lovely wooden tables as well!

Amazing. The best smashed avo I've ever had, without exaggeration. Smoky, spicy, and served with incredible homemade sundried tomatoes. Beautifully decorated and super friendly service - felt like eating at your auntie's place.
