Cabin is in the forest with glass windows and beautiful views of the green area. Small creek right next to the cabin makes the scenery perfect.|However, we also see a number of critical points that had a negative impact on our stay.|We arrived full of anticipation, but we were quickly disappointed. Here are the major points we criticize:|- Refrigerator moldy. Freezer compartment dripping!|- Kitchen furniture quite worn, narrow kitchen hardly room to cook.|- kitchen drawers dirty, as well as the cutlery.|- No dining area inside the villa.|- Seating furniture (inside) quite uncomfortable, worn out.|- no possibility to darken the windows|Overall we would not book again, in our opinion the pictures promise a level of luxury that cannot be found on site.|

Absolutely stunning accommodation in Cape Tribulation. Our host Paul was delightful and super helpful with local recommendations. There was a welcome bottle of sparkling wine waiting in the cabin which we thoroughly enjoyed. The cabin has the most incredible view into the rainforest, we were spoiled with a glowing forest one night after it rained. The perfect location for an escape and total relaxation. We will be back!

My partner and I loved our babymoon stay at Black Palm. It was honestly the highlight of our trip and we were sad to leave.
We met Tess on arrival and she was so warm and friendly. She explained everything we needed to know and provided a comprehensive info booklet for our stay.
Our accommodation itself was perfect and Tess has thought of everything. She even provided a bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling for me being pregnant!
Everything was so peaceful and relaxing. We found, having a hire car was crucial for staying here.
The only other thing we would suggest is to be mindful of the 1GB download limit each day. This wasn’t an issue for us as we caught up on reading and took a few day trips.

We absolutely loved our stay at Black Palm. If you're looking for a five star place where you can relax amongst the rainforest and just soak in all that the Daintree has to offer, this is the place for you! We stayed for three nights which is plenty of time to explore Cape Tribulation and enjoy your stay. I was a little concerned about critters as the property is surronded by rainforest, but the property was immaculately clean and of such high quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to escape to the rainforest.

Stunning ! Do your self a favour and indulge in some luxury if you go to Cape Tribulation. The cabin is in the forest with glass windows and beautiful views of the greenery. The creek flows right by the cabin so all you can hear is the bubbling water and the birds . ||The spa bath is just sheer luxury. I spent 2 hours in it every day just soaking everything up- including a wine or two. ||Also first time in my life where sitting on the toilet you have a floor to ceiling view of the jungle.||Amenities were all good. We ate in 2 out of our 4 nights so we could just enjoy the place. ||The super king bed was huge and comfy. ||Just loved the place. ||If you choose to go here add on an extra day to what you think you need in the area- glad we did. ||Love Cape Tribulation.

Thanks so much Tess, your cabin is just perfect! So quiet & peaceful, it was the highlight of our trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.The breakfast hamper was just right, all your recommendations for places to eat - Whet was lovely. Jungle Surfing great fun & the Ocean Safari was awesome! I cannot recommend your services highly enough! Thank you once again.

We stayed for 2 nights in Black Palm and were very impressed:|- accomodations are spectacular, spotlessly clean and no insects and this is right in the rainforest overlooking a beautiful creek|- all the little touches from bottle of champagne, individual soap / champion from NZ, binoculars, etc. are truly 5 stars|- the owner who is so friendly and helpful |- complete privacy and yet knowing that owner is close by (cannot see or hear) to assist of needed||Definitely a spot to return to||We like Cape Tribulation to stay better than at Daintree Ecolodge as it is so much closer to so many trails, one of best being 1 min drive away. Also for such a small place love the few restaurants in the city for both lunch and dinner.

Black Palm was amazing - just like you stepped into your very own postcard. |From the time of booking to our after stay Tess (the owner) was great with communication & directions etc. & made sure we had everything we needed.|You have everything you want in a kitchenette - take the option for the breaky supplies to be provided. It made us feel special! BYO whatever else you need for dinner - you won't want to move.|Soak up the rainforest on the veranda, relax & enjoy the wilderness in the privacy of your "own home". ||The cabin is up stairs with parking underneath. The driveway in is well kept gravel & just a short drive from the main road. ||What an amazing place & would definately recommend.|
