On arriving at Birdsville roadhouse i decided to buy a new battery and saw the mechanic Chris and he was so helpful in sorting one out and i must say it was a reasonable price .. THEN after doing the French line i returned to Birdsville with 2 snapped off wheel studs and a flat tyre and 3 missing wheel nuts . well Chris came to the rescue and helped me out ever so friendly …he is an absolute asset to this business....and we thank you so much mate .... cheers ||||as for the coffee shop out to the side .....hmmmm what can i say but please get your act together as you service food and coffee was up there with the absolute worst i have ever had .. and just because some pilots decided to have high tea in some fancy little cups doesn't mean you forget about your real bread and butter …. (disgusted )cheers

Stayed at the Lodge overnight before heading down the Birdsville track. Donga was clean comfortable and because of the time of the year quiet as well. Reasonably priced as well. Woke up refreshed and ready to go

We travelled to Birdsville from Windorah where we had left our van. Booked in at Birdsville caravan park and paid cash for 2 nights at The Lodge accommodation. It was adequate for a quick visit at $120pn.|However, we found that 1 day amd night was sufficient at Birdsville so asked at 9am for a refund for the second night. NO ! Their policy is a week's notice. How poor. Be warned.

Room was small and not on the same site as the Caravan park where we booked in, but they were quite functional and clean.
We had use of a huge and very functional 'camp kitchen' that had ovens, hot plates / bbq type grill, all cooking gear and fridges and cupboards. 'Camp Kitchen" also had a couple TVs in it
Staff were very friendly and accommodating

Stayed overnight as Birdsville Hotel was booked out. What a wonderful find. Rooms are small but had everything we needed. Fantastic camp kitchen available. Walking distance to everything in town. Just around corner to the pub. We flew in & very close to airport. Would definately stay again

Very clean! A great relief to not have to worry about the cleanliness of our accommodation. A big shout-out to Sandra and Stuart for their efforts at making the accommodation and hygienic as clean as possible.

Stayed at the Lodge for three nights and it was excellent.|Cleanliness was top rate and facilities were great.|Rooms had all you needed, bed was very comfy,fridge, air con and ensuite.|Meals were easily attainable around the corner at the Hotel.|Sandra was very friendly and always available if you needed anything.|I would definitely stay here again

Good style of pub. Music not our choice given the environment, barman not suited to a country pub.
