I booked this room for my partners birthday for a mid week getaway. We loved the cabin. The spa and the fire pit were the highlight. Karen is a great host and was very thoughtful with ensuring we had supplies as the location is secluded (which is certainly a plus when you want to get away from the city!) we loved the wildlife and the peace and quiet!

A lovely place we visited about 8 years previously so wanted to return, however we were disappointed with some aspects second time around. Firstly being told to bring our own firewood if we wished to use the log fireplace was a bit off, never experienced that before in a place that specifically advertises its romantic log fires. Also the place is now over run with privet, even hammocks swallowed up in the bush now and rotting. What was there was dirty and unkempt meaning we couldn't lie on a hammock without first covering it with a blanket and couldn't sit at the picnic table. The hairdryer in our cabin the heat didn't work on, and the bed linen was not great quality, also could have used bath robes with the spa. Overall lovely and peaceful and a great place to be for a romantic weekend but sadly needs some attention.

The owners are friendly and happy to help and accommodate. We have stayed here twice now, the first time was in McClymont cabin, this is the furthest into the property and features an attached man cave area with barbecue and hammock. The second was in a cabin just to the left of the entry. This was slightly smaller but just as well appointed. While the bathroom is getting a little old with a few loose tiles and the loo screamed a little, the room is wonderful and a great escape from busy work life. They provide you with fresh eggs, some are bantam which are the perfect size for the missus, along with a loaf of bread, tea and coffee and biscuits. You also get a choice of spreads in the fridge, fresh milk and cereals. We have yet to find the chook shed, this may be up the hill, but it feels intruding to venture up there where work is being done, might be brave enough next time. The alpacas and llama are great fun and know a sucker when they see one. We love coming here and recommend it to any couples or happy single who would like to relax. Aldi is a close drive if you should need to stock up.

Came here for our anniversary weekend. The place needs a revamp, it's tired, untidy and lacks attention to detail. For 250 a night, I'm highly dissapointed at the letdown breakfast, the freezer that needed defrosting, the unchopped wood and the untidy grounds. The surroundings are beautiful and the hammocks are fun to lay in, but you can get more for your money elsewhere. I'm not sure that these people that given good reviews have been to any other log cabins as there are better ones out there for the money.

This has been our 6th visit here over the last 15 years and we still love the place. While it is getting a little worn it is still well worth a visit. The place is on the market so it could be our last trip. It is well equipped (but no oven which is not unusual) and includes bread, butter, spreads, cereal, milk, tea and coffee and biscuits. Not a 5 star resort but does not claim to be. Love relaxing in the outdoor spa.||The only disappointment was that you need to bring your own firewood however there are a few places within 10 km that sell wood by the bag. There is a reverse cycle air con so if you do not want a fire that will keep you warm.

Hi Karen. We left our stay at Bingle Tree Retreat this morning somewhat disappointed with our stay. Don't get me wrong, the location is amazing, but the experience lacked terribly with the promises made on your website. We were told to bring our own fire wood and assured that there would be a limited amount on the porch for our first night, no wood was left. We decided to retreat to the spa later in the night only to find, after following the instructions, that it didn't work. Am On Saturday we decided to go for a walk down to the creek and were entertaining the thought of a canoe ride along the creek. Very disappointed to find the creek dirty and overgrown and the canoes in a pile of grass covered in dirt. I was afraid to even move them for fear of what I might disturb. We weren't even game to sit on the hammocks as they were damp and covered in moss and mould. Getting ready for dinner, my wife showered and went to dry her hair. The hairdryer had exposed wires and frayed cord ?. The fan switches were broken, fan in living room was thick with dust. The freezer hadn't been defrosted for I don't know how long and we couldn't fit anything in there. The selection of cereals consisted of a single serve of Special K and a few single serves of sultana brand, hardly a selection. The radio in the lounge room doesn't work and the gas stove knobs were loose and unsafe. Repair work had been carried out around light switches but was left unpainted/unfinished The general cleanliness that I think should accompany the tariff was not there. If our feelings have upset you, We left feeling we just didn't get what we payed for. Nonetheless we made the most of our surroundings and still managed to have a nice weekend away, just that we wouldn't stay there again at the rates they're asking.

Was great. We have been there twice on two separate occasions, driving all the way from Melbourne for the experience. We got it on a deal and it were fantastic. The tub on the deck is truly luxurious and the view.. An absolute aussie delight. We went when there were bushfires and it were smokey but the first trip were clear. I did my first kayaking there and I would definitely recommend it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the place probably needed a detailed clean and there where a few things broken that could have been fixed but really, we would drive from Melbourne again just to sit on that deck. A beautiful and private place to unwind and ground oneself.

Thank you so much for letting us hide away from the busy life and actually relax knowing everything is sorted. |It was beautiful to be surrounded by heavenly bell bird sounds and greenery in the morning. Don't get me started on the bubbly spa! I loved every moment and truely didn't want to leave! I also admired the little hand written postcard once we entered the cozy cottage. Everything from the bread/milk/eggs in the fridge to the comfy hammocks under the stars. No complaining here! Will hopefully be back soon ...to see the lamas too! |Thank you again, Hannah & Phil
