I have to say we were very disappointed when we checked in to our room . The air con was not on , but we were told to turn it on immediately. It was a hot day of travelling. Then the fridge wasn't turned on either . Didn't work even after being turned on . Also I have never stayed in this type of accommodation, without the standard toaster , plates , bowls , knives and spoons
The beds and pillows not particularly comfortable either . Hot water not very hot , but fortunately not winter .
For the price we paid not good enough

So in a nut shell u are in the QLD out back. Not in the city of Sydney. What more do u need when all u are doing is eat drink root sleep drive. Perfect room. Will stay again Jason with his pitbull

Great stay at Billabong hotel motel, food portions were great. Bar/ Accommodation staff were friendly. 10/10

Highly recommended, helped us out due to a breakdown. Not only was the accommodation great, but the meals were beautiful. This together with the friendliness made us wanting to come back. Thank you again and we will be back to stay with you guys next year.

The Billabong Hotel / Motel in Cunnamulla became a very important safe haven for us in December 2023. As temperatures soared to 45 degrees we had to change plans on the run for our trip. Kathryn and Ella were so accommodating and flexible we were so very grateful.
We arrived in at 11 pm to a lovely clean room with the air-conditioner on and felt so very welcome. Beds very comfortable and linen crisp and clean. The most important box ticked for us was that our Border Collie was welcome. Another huge plus were the pub meals served in the Hotel Bar in the evenings.
Are the rooms 5 star? No
Are they being updated? Yes
Is it in the best part of town? No
Why was it so great for us? The Billabong has a ‘big heart’ and a true Australian welcome and sense of community.

Excellent value for money, and the food was truly amazing. The bar provided that typical friendly Australian service we all love. Although the rooms were clean, they could use some updates as they seemed a bit old. Appeared to safe. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would consider staying there again.

It's absolutely worth staying here. Lovely people, clean and nest rooms. Little out dated but kept in a good order. It was great to be able to have our dogs with us, with no fuss. Will definitely stay here again

After our camping at Charlotte’s Plains fell through, and no phone service, we arrived in Cunnamulla on dusk with accommodation for 6 people in such short notice proving very difficult. The manager was friendly, welcoming and hospitable.
