One of the best caravan parks I have been too! It's a quiet little park, lovely grounds, clean shower/toilet block, well equipped kitchen, close to the beach.

The staff are all absolutely lovely and the playground and bouncy pillow are great for kids!

We had such an amazing time and ended up extending our stay. The wildlife and the sound of the ocean as you fall asleep was perfect.

We will definitely be back!

March 2025. Good facilities, neat, tidy. Great walk along the foreshore. Don't expect to see penguins during the day. Shower mats in the facilities were absolutely lovely, thankyou! Lovely beach noises to wake up to. Really a pleasure. Edited because I had not finished the review.

We stayed on a van site. The cleanest amenities we have seen. Floor mats for the showers which are hot and strong. The check in people are lovely and helpful. Lovely place just off the beach and close to local shops and sights .

Booked a cabin . Cost $237 for 1 night. Beds needed replacing, no support. Lounges needed replacing, no support. Lounges dirty under cushion. Fans were dirty, fluff all over them. Air conditioner did not work on heat. No instructions. Extra charges for not washing drying and putting away dishes. Further charges if you did not leave the room clean. Wifi password incorrect. Would not recommend stay in cabins.

We roll in on a warm summer’s day, set up camp on the lush grass near the entrance, and take in the scene. Big 4 Ulverstone. A “classic,” they call it. Not sure what that means, but if it’s a euphemism for “half permanent residents,” then yeah, sure, classic.

These aren’t just caravans; they’re fixtures. Wheels long buried, annexes bolted on in a patchwork of plywood and desperation. A DIY architectural fever dream—if shantytown chic is your thing, you’ll feel right at home.

So what makes a great caravan park? For me, it’s simple—no permanents. This one? It leans more Manila back alley than coastal getaway. It’s got the basics: toilets, showers, a place to park your rig. But unless you’re just passing through, I’d look elsewhere.

If you want something with a little more polish, a little more soul, head to Mersey Bluff Caravan Park in Devonport. Ocean views, a vibe you can actually taste. It’s the kind of place you wake up and think, yeah, this is where I want to be.

Edit: Forgot to add (downgraded to 1 star), the caretaker allows his schnauzer to roam free around the park as he works. While the park rules dictate that all dogs need to be on-lead. Probably why we found a present waiting for us when we pulled up.

Great spot close to beach we camped in tent and they allowed fire pit just need to cover grass so not to burn it.

Immaculately clean accommodation and located 1 min walking distance to the beach. You can sleep to the sounds of the waves. Lovely staff, would definitely stay here again.

Initially booked accomodation for family of 5, arrived accommodation was not good. Asked to be moved to a cabin up front, which the staff did. Once in cabin, very old and out dated. Would not recommend. Was glad to leave.
