Nice location, out of town but close enough to shops. Some shady caravan sites, all very close together. Good pools, one adults only;
Amenities old & run down & not always clean. Washing machine & vending machine ate my money for no return. Park facilities old & broken. Apparently "in the process of renovating", but a long termer told us that line is at least 12mths old! Also, bad luck if you're not a dog fan. Squish dog people in with non dog people! Had 2 yappers one side that just wouldn't shut up.
Most office staff nice, but regular one was 'cold' & couldn't smile. Grounds Manager came & checked on us first morning & didn't stop talking, telling us how tough he was & who'd he'd kicked out! Not sure if he was trying to scare us away, or just discipline us before kids acted up?
Wanted to give it 2.5 stars, but 2 will do. Plenty of other nicer experiences to stay around same area!

Excellent. Loved our stay in Howard Springs. A one week stay turned into 4. Staff were all lovely. Had great banter with manager. Got to know manager after being a passion fingers and his regular visits to make sure I hadn't broken anything else...lol. We will definitely be back.

First the good stuff ?
The budget cabins are clean and well fitted out although a few extra items like a cork screw and grater would be handy, but otherwise kitchen has all you could need for a budget cabin they do well!
Great soaps nice, warm showers really clean bathrooms ?.
Good beds and fantastic a/c.

The staff are fun and friendly and really warm. I havnt had such lovely staff anywhere I've stayed and I am always travelling. Give them all a raise!!! Fantastic!

We live 10 mins away from this park and staycation here when we get a chance.
This time I brought friends from Single Parent Adventures Australia to do a group event.
We were excited for the recreation room, squash, splash park, 2 pools, tons of pedal bikes and hopefully jumping pillow.
Alas-
The rec room is not functional and seems mid demolish.
The squash courts are also undergoing maintenance (they were last year too- at this point maybe just say they don't exist?)
The jumping pillow is gone- I expected as much as last year it was having issues.
Only 2 pedal bikes were operational and one of them seemed to be having issues which is fine unless you brought a heap of familys expecting enough to go around. We shared the 2 between 4 familys and made it work still had a great time.
The splash park isn't working properly and puddle park would be a better description. Again we still managed to have fun but the bucket isn't working and the water in the rest was often barley a trickle. Great for the toddlers not so much the kids who need more stimulation. We did try the button it was not effective.
One pool is now adults only which I actually think is amazing ? Even I as a parent like the idea of a safe space to go hide in ?
The other pool was spectacular! The spas are amazing to relax in while the kids used the huge pool.
All in all we had a blast but being locals who stayed BECAUSE of all the entertainment for kids. I feel a bit duped.
Maybe update the website to reflect all the broken/not operational things.
Or reflect it in price.
We probably won't be back for a while untill it's all fixed as there are other places with operational facilities. Being that we live 10 mins away and didnt NEED to stay it was a big expense for so many broken attractions.

We stayed 15 days July/Aug 24 in our caravan using the ensuite sites, the sites are grassy just big enough for the van and annex, our car had to be parked sideways in front of the van. When the sites next door were vacant we put it there and made it work ok. The ensuite’s are ok but like most showers had trouble regulating the hot and cold, but it’s pretty warm here anyway so the cold was ok. We used the pool every day in the afternoons to coool down, it’s about 20 minutes into town but handy for other attractions on this side. Berry springs is about 30 minutes with the wildlife park next door, the stat of Kakadu is about 30 minutes, fogg dam is a good half day tour with the humpy doo hotel a good stop on the way back. We enjoyed our time here with the friendly and helpful staff. Maybe so money could be put back into filling in some of the driveway parts that have gone missing and update some of the aging facilities but pretty good overall

Lovely park although very small sites with not much space to park your car! Ablutions clean and 2 lovely pool areas! The reception staff are friendly and welcoming! They were very helpful as we needed to extend our stay because of car problems and ended up staying a week and really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Howard Springs caravan park ?

We were on a powered caravan site ideally located near all amenities. Very dog friendly and the coffee from the vehicle is a godsend in the morning. Overall thoroughly recommend though it is quite a way from Darwin’s CBD.

To say we were disappointed would be the understatement of the century. The ensuite for our camper trailer was dirty and the space so small we couldn't park our car with our camper.
The noise from the stupid birds squawking all night was enough to drive you mad... we stayed 3 out of the 4 nights booked it was just not worth staying another night.
The only nice thing in the whole place was the swimming pool which our little one enjoyed.

~ pool opening times disappointing. 9am to 6pm. Why are grownups not allowed to swim outside these hours when it’s in the middle to high 30s and extremely humid.
~ cheek-by-jowl camps
~ No seats in some of the shower blocks - too bad for disabled and elderly
~ soap holders in showers were filthy
~ open laundry - very dusty and dirty.

Very big dog run provided you have dogs larger than a Jack Russell. My dog easily found her way out. I did try to cover up the openings with palm fronds but they were promptly taken away.
