Staff are Amazing, helpful, kind and very welcoming, we had a lovely stay over Christmas
The park had put on a treasure hunt for the kids and cooked a lovely sausage sizzle for dinner on Christmas eve. Amenities were very clean. Pool area was nice and relaxing. There is some work going on in the park I think it may be a new playground but did not affect our stay at all, it is always lovely to see new improvements.
We left our van there on site while we travelled over to K'gari for a week and no problems at all. Our van was safe and looked after.
The beach is a short stroll down the road and there is a convenience store just down the road the other way. I will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great park to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at BIG4 Hervey Bay! The magnesium pool was a highlight. Our powered slab site was spacious and well-maintained, making setup a breeze. The park is super kid-friendly, with plenty of space and activities to keep the little ones entertained. To top it off, the owners were absolutely lovely, welcoming and always happy to help. Highly recommend for families and anyone looking for a comfortable, well-run holiday park! We’ll definitely be back.

I recently stayed at this Caravan Park in Point Vernon, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The location is perfect – peaceful and scenic, with easy access to the beautiful waterfront. The grounds are well-maintained, offering spacious, shady sites ideal for caravans, tents, or motorhomes.

The amenities were spotless and regularly cleaned, which made the stay even more comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was recommending local attractions or providing assistance, their customer service was top-notch.

One of the highlights was the proximity to Hervey Bay – perfect for whale watching and exploring the Fraser Coast. The park also has a great family-friendly vibe, with facilities like BBQ areas, a playground for the kids, and plenty of room to relax and unwind.

I would highly recommend this caravan park to anyone looking for a relaxing, affordable getaway in Point Vernon. We’ll definitely be back!

Hard park to rate. Facilities are good. Nice pool. Great camp kitchen. Lots of permanents. Wide roads in some parts. Wide sites but narrow. Watched 3 big vans accessing the sites. All 3 had excellent drivers and were able to reverse their vans on to their sites. However, the spare was almost touching the fence, and the hitch was nearly on the bitumen. If you have trouble reversing, then you can ask the staff to help you. Our site was a drive-through, but the road was narrow, so I had difficulty lining up the van with the slab. Maybe I should have backed it in. 300M to the bay. There is a small beach there if you want a swim. Quiet park and quiet area. Away from the hussle and bussle of the central beach area. One of the permanents had a blew with the staff. A few hours later he left. Hopefully kicked out. The other permanents seemed happy with this result. Popular coffee shop around the corner. 2 min drive or 10 min walk. I had no issues therefore 5 ⭐️

worst campground ever. In the Front is a big construction Site.
stayed for one night. 1 of 3 showers Out of order, later at night there was a Gas problem or Something and IT was Just cold water available. 2 of 3 washer Out of order. kitchen and Toilet Not very Clean and very old everything. Lots of permanent residents on the ground, very small campground. Pool was OK. you are far away from the Sandy beach..there are Just Stones.
We Had a Look around for other campgrounds. They were all cheaper than the big 4 and looked nicer. Take the discovery Park, ITS the best around there.

The caravan park is relatively quiet and nice, located about 12 minutes from the centre of town. There’s a lot of permanent sites and a few nicely grassed van spots with concrete slabs. It’s family friendly with a small playground and nice pool area. The pool needs some shade cloths over it as it’s too hot throughout most of the day. The biggest let down was the cold dirty showers the first night and the next morning (7am). Not sure if something happened to the hot water heater because there was hot water on Saturday night. The toilets and showers are not very clean with the grout and tiles looking very dirty and mouldy. Could do with a good grout scrub. There was also clumps of hair in the drains for two days and no toilet paper in two of the toilets. There’s quite a few cob webs which aren’t hard to get with a broom. We saw them clean the amenities Saturday morning so not sure how thorough they were. The gaming area was nice but no pool cues so I’m assuming someone stole them. It’s also very hot in the shed where the games are and they only had two of the smaller Aircons on. They might need to use the bigger ones. I think if they have the bathrooms a bit of a spruce up/clean the place wouldn’t be too bad.

We stayed 4 nights on a powered site. The grounds are kept tidy, mowed after guests leave. The table tennis table in the kids zone is popular, as is the pool which was crystal clear, with new bean lounges to relax in.
This is a small caravan park by most standards of Big 4 parks, with many permanent mobile homes and several caravan dwellers that appear to be long term, mostly grouped together to the west of the park. The powered short term sites are also grouped together.
The amenities block was clean but dated. I'm sure it is on the To Do List.
Located one block back from the water, it is a pleasant walk via a wide footpath.
There is a convenience store about 150m away.
On Saturday morning cheerful staff advised that a coffee cart had arrived at the entrance to the park. Nice!
The supermarkets are about 5km away.
This park is peacefully quiet mid week and the bay breeze was welcomed.
