Four of us for lunch, today, Sunday.
Firstly we were warmly greeted, that was nice and the lovely hospitality continued with all the ladies being really efficient and so pleasant, again nice.
Four different meals and all were excellent, meals appeared promptly, looked and indeed were really lovely, proper country pub fare. Value of food and drinks was also a bonus.

So much better than the last time we visited under the former owners. The food was also much improved. The only drawback was the flies, I couldn’t see a fly zapper. We shall return.

A hidden gem that should hide no more!
We’ve been here a few times in the last 6 months and are yet to be disappointed, quite the opposite.
It’s country hospitality the way it should be.
The food is reasonably priced and made with care and attention, the last time we went the Bethanga Chicken was exquisite and the Chicken Sandwich was delish (and not short on the amazing house-made pickled onions). They don’t overbook sittings so the wait times stay under control unless you’re there at peak service times (if you’re thinking of popping out spontaneously, check their Facebook stories as they are great at updating when sessions are booked out).

These folks are having a genuine crack and we’ll continue to support them, and hopefully so does the rest of the wider community.

Only request is to invest in some speakers and throw some tunes on outside. Otherwise, it’s the perfect day trip destination. Keep up the great work team BH and thanks for all the hard work, hospo certainly ain’t easy these days.

We’re staying at the rec ground in our RV and a lovely local lady, walking her dog informed us that the pub is a 5 minute walk, and she didn’t lie. 5 minutes down a lovely lane and across the road to the pub.

The meals are large and very nice. The venue itself is quaint and a tad run down, however it added to the adventure for us.

The Staff were super friendly and informative.
Worth a visit and also there is a very relaxed Alpaca and two goats out back. Awesome place

Great food at a reasonable price, staff try their hardest to make sure you enjoy your stay
