Something I didn't know before joining - visitors are welcome at any of the meetings, just rock up. The feedback is always "Warmest Welcome", "Casual & Fun", "Friendliest" Club and "I'll be back!". There's no pressure to but more often than not visitors translate into members - the history of the high conversion rate speaks for itself. Do yourself a favour and compare the clubs to see which one suits. Even if you aren't local to Berowra. So why did I join Berowra Toastmasters despite living closer to several other clubs? The atmosphere was (and continues to be) gold. I joined "for a year" and 10 years later I am still enjoying this small community, and learning. I have witnessed this little club embrace whatever suits a member - those who want to fast-track their competent speaker and leadership targets. Members build their confidence at their own pace, without judgement. I have seen leaders in action & professional speakers sharing their knowledge. I have been in awe of those who offer their own time after hours to mentor. I have also seen many of us falter as we try to gain experience outside our comfort zone. And you can be shy or lacking in confidence, it does not matter. This gem of a club will let you "do you"! Our fortnightly huddle of vastly different people, with varying levels of competencies and personalities, exerts is charm and thrives.

An excellent Club for improving confidence and public speaking skills. I used to feel sick at even the thought of public speaking but I have improved a lot since joining Berowra Toastmaster's Club. I've found this Club very friendly & welcoming. They are keenly aware of how nervous most people are about standing up in front of others. I've witnessed many incredibly caring and supportive actions. Interestingly, members stay even when their skills improve so they can give back by helping others. I feel energised after each fortnightly Club meeting. It has helped a lot in my work and socially and so I highly recommend it. If you dread public speaking, this is the place to go.

Berowara Toastmasters is a great place for growing your public speaking skills in a friendly, supportive and enjoyable environment. SInce joining approximately 2 years ago I have noticed my public speaking and impromptu speaking ability improve and continue to grow. I have also developed deeper listening skills which has helped me with facilitation of groups and staying present in conversations and presentations. I highly recommend this group for those seeking to improve leadership and speaking skills!

I Joined Berowra Toastmasters just over a year ago and can't speak highly enough of the wonderful and welcoming people I have met. Public speaking is a challenge for most of us but with the amazing support from all the members of this club, I have grown in confidence which has helped in both my personal and work life. Now meeting on Zoom until we get through this pandemic I couldn't think of a better club to visit online and see what it is all about.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to this club 15 years ago. The members are friendly and nuturing, your speeches are evaluated in a supportive and positive environment as they should be at a Toastmaster's club.
Twice a month we have meetings and they are so much fun, filled with laughter and good company. Our club suppers are legendary among other clubs in the area.
Want to learn how to improve your speaking or leadership skills visit our club where you will have fun learning, all level of speaker welcome.
Have visited many other clubs in our area and district but come back home.
See you soon Jackie
